Aligarh muslim University review after my experience of 3 years.

It was pretty good but there should have been an early information process for admission. As all the information regarding admission was given on the admission day and some of the procedures were hectic. But the admission to Aligarh Muslim University is based upon the entrance test which is held for classes 1st,6th,9th,11th, and for graduation, masters, and Ph.D. program.

The course is great here as the exams and results come on time. Also if we see the faculty members, they are very helpful and understanding there but one thing is to be kept in mind that the more you write in exams the more you score.

The internship is provided by the university too but just like placement, the number is low. Also, the university does provide a stipend but starting from 500 or 1000. So it's better to choose an internship from outside the university.

University provides a number of placement offers, for example, a number of companies do come to the university annually providing employment to the students. But placement offered at the university level for a bachelor's degree or masters degree is 30-40%

Fees aren't that much in the university. If a student is coming from a poor family he can also afford the fees of this university. Also, the university, as well as the government, provides several scholarships just like departmental scholarships provided by the university for meritorious students.

There are several social groups and clubs that a student can join for co-curricular activities. Also, they give great exposure to students because annual fest, as well as seasonal fests, are held in the university and also cheif guests are brought from national as well as international levels.

Hostel life is great and the fees are very low for hostels. Only 1 thousand is being charged as hostel fees . But the availablity of room is comparatively low, so u may or may not get a room in the first year of your admission. Also hostel provides a quality food which is also provided at a very low cost. Pg is also available near the campus but there is a problem of hygiene and food which u can't tolerate.
