Remarks

I chose BA in English in this college because I came to know it had the best faculty for English in Coimbatore city colleges. The admissions process was like after my 12th results came up I visited the college. Then they gave me a token number for the interview. When my number was called I went to the room in which the interview took place and the interview saw my profile and my English marks and was impressed with them. The interviewer asked me few questions related to English and the reason to choose it. After the interview process, they gave me the admission form which I had filled up and submitted the first-semester fee along with the form.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very simple. It had 6 semesters and 3 internal exams each semester. I chose this course as I wanted to pursue teaching as a profession. The student-faculty ratio was 1:44. The faculty was well educated and had a lot of knowledge regarding their subject. They were very friendly and make us understand the concept fast through various real-life scenarios. The exams were very easy and all the credit goes to their way of teaching which had helped in understanding the concepts easily.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are many internship opportunities for the students. They choose it according to their interest and thinking of their future in that industry. They gain a lot of skill set during their internship. They also come to know their flaws in their field and tend to make the changes in it to have a better career and future. I personally do not have any experience in an internship as I have just completed my first year and it is not been offered to students during that period in our college.

Placement Experience

4

The placements of our college are really good. Various companies across the country come to take interviews in our college. Companies like Accenture, Infosys, Roots, and many other companies. Last year around 63 companies had come to college to recruit the pass-out, students. The minimum percentage which is required to take part in it is 60 % in all the semester before the interview which is set by our college. There are different packages that have been approached to the students after the interview turns out to be successful. Many of the pass-out seniors have been placed in high-raised jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is reasonable. I have just completed a year and there has not been any hike in the cost of study yet. I do not have much idea about the scholarship as I have not interacted much with others due to being a batch of 2020 where we did not get the opportunity to visit the college and have lively experiences.

Campus Life

3.5

I had visited the campus once to submit my mark sheets and with the observations from that, I could say the campus was very clean and neat. It has a positive atmosphere. There were great infrastructure and a lot of trees and sampling. The college also provided the amenities like digital classrooms, WIFI, canteen, and many others. The information I had gathered from the seniors is that the college used to have a lot of fest and extracurricular activity which helped them in creating bonds with many as well as helped them in gaining knowledge and various skills during the fest. There were also sports activities that use to take place on which students got chances to showcase talents not just in sports activities even in the other fest and extracurricular activities.

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Our College has a dedicated placement Cell that Co-ordinates with companies, organizes interviews , and provides career counseling. They also conduct orientation program for attending interviews traings and other personality enrichment activities for our benefits like conducting pre - placement training, including resume building workshops, mock interviews, and skill development programs for preparing as precautionary to avoid rejections in interviews. Average Students participate in the placement process by securing offers, depending on the batch. Over the past few years, our college has an increasing number of offers made, I thank our college for growing reputation and industry ties. The Average salary package ranges from rupees 3-5 lac per annum with most students being placed in roles such as Travel Consultants, Tourism Managers and Event Planners. My Future Plans: If I don't secure a placement through campus recruitment, I Plan to focus on building my career through internships and freelancing. I am particularly interested in sustainable tourism and may look for opportunities in eco-tourism companies and tourism boards. Additionally, I'm considering pursuing further studies, such as a Master's in Tourism Management or certifications in Digital Marketing for the Travel industry, to enhance my skill set and broaden my career prospects. The strong foundation from my Sindhi College will provide me with the flexibility to pursue various career paths, whether in corporate roles or starting my own venture in Tourism sector. Otherwise will choose and excel in my Law Career which will support to develop

Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2024(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
