My Experience in JIMS

Anyone can easily get admission to my college. Actually I had a very good academic record but I don't have someone to guide me with the admission in colleges. So I missed the deadline of IPU counselling (scored 828 rank overall) and DU cut off. So to avoid myself from losing a year, I decided to take admission in JIMS. As I was predetermined to do MBA from one of the prestigious colleges, I thought to give it a shot as companies would definitely consider recent qualification. So there was an entrance test, which I think was easy. And GDPI round. And then I got selected. Actually, anyone who wants admission can apply for the course, it grants admission irrespective of the marks scored. And this turns out to be one of the greatest turning point of my life.

The course curriculum was up to date and one of the pros of this college is the faculties. Faculties were not only teachers but also mentors who always guide me whenever needed- whether the advise was of academic nature or anything. In fact after 2 years, I am still in touch with many of them.

The fee structure was competitive. And I got a scholarship of 20% for getting 90%+ in class 9. People can get scholarships if they are worthy or are capable of. In fact, they also provide scholarships for students scoring 80%+ if the student asks to avail.

There is an annual Fest "Verve" which is held in the month of February. It is jointly held by JIMS Sector-3 and JIMS Sector-5. Recent books and magazines along with newspapers were available in library. Classroom methodology was using smart boards and black board, if needed. Sports meet also takes place in our college in the month of February. There were many social groups in our college.

Yes, I faced GD, Interview questions, and written tests for admission. Topics were related to current affairs, general knowledge, quantitative aptitude, English, LRDI. GDPI was related to General Knowledge and Business Aptitude.
