Remarks

The admission process was a well-structured procedure starting from registering for the university. After that, there was document submission and then the entrance test namely 'IPUCET' took place which was a well-structured test with equal importance to all the three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Maths, and the difficulty level was on a higher side as it is expected in an entrance exam. Then was choice filling. So I filled my college. Counseling was online with a list of max ranks allowed to be displayed and we had 2 days to freeze our seat in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because it is on boom these days. The world is shifting from paper to laptops so for all that to be feasible IT is the key. The faculty-student ratio is 1:30 but I am not sure. Most of the faculty members are doctorate holders and with a minimum experience of 10-12 years. Teaching techniques are old but effective. Passing was difficult because questions were not direct as you would expect in an engineering stream.

Placement Experience

5

Since IT is on top of the other engineering fields, every year lot of companies do come to hire the students. Companies like Accenture, shell, TCS, and many more are the major recruiters. You need to at least have 60% to be eligible for placements. I was placed in Capgemini and the process was really smooth.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees I believe are quite feasible and are set according to middle-class people so that they can afford to pay. Although it was 80000 per year before there was a hike in our time and it was 95000 per year. Scholarships are given to merit students and if you need financial assistance then they will ask you for some documents to submit to prove that you are in actual need.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is really huge since it is associated with Amity, NOIDA. You have ample things to do here. You can join and be part of any club society and make the most out of it that would really help you in the long run. The library has a lot of technical books but I believe it's not enough. They should also add some of the novels and different genres for students to read. Amitech is the fest that is organized by students every year in February. The best part is, everything is handled by students only from logistics to stage handling.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
