Akshay Jain's Review On Thiagarajar College Of Engineering - [TCE], Madurai

Our college life is same as school life in terms of timings. But rather than we enjoy the classes,food,friends chats,labs,free periods etc. We enjoy to the core and celebrate together with enthusiasm. That's what our college is known for.

I just had cutoff mark to enter into the college via counselling which was held at Chennai. It was not a easy process as many students like me where there to grab the seat in the same college. I and my father where called on the second day of counselling and we hoped to get a seat in Thiagarjar college of engineering.

We access the contents by my college campus and our department provides many electives like in information retrieval,graphics,image processing etc.

Some of the companies which visited our college and have internship are amazon,Honeywell,zoho,thoughtworks,Microsoft etc. The stipend is around 3000 rs.

The placement statistics is 100%. The college provides us the necessary environment to withstand and fulfill the company needs.

Shristi a cultural event held annually by all departments together. Fastival an event to celebrate free open source software. Glitzia an intra department fun filled contest.

The fee structure is according to the government structures. Its around 10000 rs including the Tution fees,lab fees,maintenance etc. Where's we pay an exams fess of around 3500 for an semester.

The college provide scholarships privided by the government. The amount is around 8000 rs. But there is a caste criteria for the scholarship.

It's awesome as we always invlove in any events such as coding,robotics,culturals etc. Our labs are also fun filled as we have liberty to do experiments and staffs to guide us.

I am a dayscholar. But my friends used to say that hostel environment and food is good and healthy enough for one to developnes ideas.

Our alumni regularly visited our campus for encouraging us and saying us about the company works and the duties. We have an interactive session in an auditorium and any one is pleasured to ask any question to our alumnis.

We follow blooms taxonomy. We have 3 internals and then a semester exam. The exam pattern is easy to follow and learn.

The staffs are well qualified and have submitted any thesis.
