Remarks
The college is one the best in NCR region. The exposure is nice. In the end it all depends on personal self as to how he takes in the teaching, I am currently an officer with Indian Airforce and this would not have been possible with whatever i learnt during college at my back.
Entrance Preview
AIEEE - 2010 Well, i chose this college because at my rank, this was the best college i could get. I could not get through any of the prestigious NITs and my rank wasn't that bad, so opted for this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is well structured, the importance of which you basically do not envisage while you are still in college but now having worked for 2 years after passing out from college, i realized the curriculum was extremely well placed. Emphasis on research was also placed with many of my fellow students going on to publish their own research papers.
Internships Opportunities
No, there are no internships from the college side every student who is applying for jobs/internships does so using his own personal channel in 3rd year of college.
Placement Experience
Till such a time i have known, the placement is more than 100% with each student having at least one offer at hand. Since it is an IT based college, mostly IT companies visit. I personally was placed in 3 companies. Companies visited include TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Deloitte, NTT, Cognizant, Wipro among many other upcoming and big industrial houses.
College Events
Technical : Technical Fest, Robotic Events, Google Technology User Group ( Technical classes on newest technologies), Web seminars Cultural : Cultural Fests are held every year with emphasis on cultural activities, along with performances by International/Indian singers/artists.Its a 3 day extravaganza which is very famous in the NCR circle. Frequent Model United Nation(MUN) and Parliamentary Debates are also conducted for those inclined towards debating.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My fee was Rs 1,15,000 for the year which continued the same for all my 4 years of engineering. There is no mid increment of fees, no extra fees, nothing else. Hostel Charges extra. The fees increases 10% every subsequent batch, so i am sure it would be much more no.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships were not offered, but loan was offered to those students who did not come from a good financial background. This helped these students to study in this great institution.
Campus Life
The gender ratio in the college is quite good. Infact one the best i have personally seen in nothern india (do not include Delhi University). as described above, following are the events/ fests conducted : Technical : Technical Fest, Robotic Events, Google Technology User Group ( Technical classes on newest technologies), Web seminars Cultural : Cultural Fests are held every year with emphasis on cultural activities, along with performances by International/Indian singers/artists.Its a 3 day extravaganza which is very famous in the NCR circle. Frequent Model United Nation(MUN) and Parliamentary Debates are also conducted for those inclined towards debating.
Hostel Facilities
You cannot get a better hostel and mess environment anywhere else. For a nominal cost, the mess food is amazing and the students never miss their meal owing to the good quality of food. In my time, the hostel rooms were less so a few students stayed in nearby PG's / Flats, the quality being good. Now new hostel have been made so there is no dearth of rooms.
Alumni/Alumna
Mostly all the students, seniors are well connected using LinkedIN or Facebook which helps in understanding of how our friends are doing in their lives. We continuously help each other in finding new job opportunities.
Exam Structure
Three set of exams were conducted throughout a single term. The first one (T-1) after the first month for the syllabus covered during that time. T-2 after another month and a half for the syllabus taught between T-1 and T-2 and T-3 at the end of the term which had the complete syllabus for the entire term. Practical Exams and Viva were conducted in the same fashion as described above.
Admission
After the AIEEE result was out we were called in for mass counselling at one of the campus of Jaypee University. We had already filled a form for the admission shortlist based on the AIEEE rank. The counselling helped me decide my branch preference and the campus i wish to go. Campuses on offer were Jaypee Guna, Jaypee Solan, Jaypee Noida.
Faculty
All the faculty were themselves from prestigious institutes like IITs and NITs. All of them had done their MTechs and a few also PHDs. Overall their understanding of the subject was tremendous and their teaching style using presentation slides helped a lot in understanding the concepts. Use of Videos for learning also helped.
