Remarks

This is a govt college. so we had to pay the tuition fee only. This is the only one govt college in kannur university with msc statistics. Statistics have so many opportunities. i like msc mathematics. But i got admission for statistics. So i choose this

Course Curriculum Overview

Good. good atmosphere. But there only one permanent teacher for statistics department.syllabus is good. Library is the biggest one in kannur university. Auditorium is also good.very peaceful atmosphere.

Course Fees: INR 650 per year

Placement Experience

No company visited. There is no alumni for job reference. I think there is no campus placement for statistics. different companies were conducted interview for ttm students

College Events

Campus life is good.fresher's day, sports, arts, christmas celebration, holly, college day, etc are good memories. Onam celebration was grant and it is a traditional festival for us. All programmes are good

Sports facility is not bad. Beautiful library. every books that we need is available there.library is surrounded with trees. So its looks beautiful. Largest library. Wifi is available. But there is no free wifi for students

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is available from 2019. So there are many drawbacks. Its a mens hostel. But there is no hostel for womens., mens have already one hostel out side college compound. So this hostel is modified and gave it for womens. But the hostel is not secured. There is no security. Its a rural area. There is no people near hostel. So not safe for girls

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
