Remarks

The admission process was online because of covid. There was a lack of communication but all the information was available on the college website and they mailed as important details as well. The whole process was conducted in a decent manner by the college administration.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose electronics and communication engineering because I think it is a field that will be demanding field in the upcoming years. Since we haven't visited the college yet due to a pandemic, we have not idea about the faculty number. All are postgraduate and some have Ph.D. as well. some of them have done research on various projects. The teaching method is teacher-specific. All have their unique way. Exams always happened on the dates given and they were quite tough.

Class Size: 112Course Fees: INR 78575 per year

Placement Experience

In our branch, according to the previous year's data, among 100 students almost 95 students of them get placed which is a decent thing. The highest package goes up to 40 lakhs per annum and the average is about 8-10 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have not seen any fee hike yet they reduced the fee by subtracting hostel charges as we didn't go to hostels in covid times. There are various scholarships according to the state in which you live, social status, economical status as well. As I am not eligible for any of them so I can't tell much about it.

Campus Life

There are fests like Urja, Ojas. Though due to covid we couldn't visit the college seniors tells that events and fest are mind-blowing. Even in an online way, They conducted a lot of webinars for personality development and a camp by the art of life for yoga and Dhyan was also happened via online meet. There are clubs as Enoreva, Rays, Rachna, faces, Aahwan, and many more run by students.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
