I also applied for KIIT, Bhubaneswar but did not attend it because its campus is quite far from my city and even in a different state that is Odisha. I did not avail any kind of quota for admission. Minimum marks to get admission in IET is 50% in your graduation and should have studied mathematics as a subject in the 12th class or graduation. The process of admission was getting your documents verified by reporting physically at the campus itself(documents such as Identity like adhaar card, 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, graduation certificate of passing etc.)

I opted for this course because I have a great interest in computer applications and exploring new technology. There are sufficient faculties in IET to guide and provide equal attention to the students. There are more than 90 faculties if there are 180 students in one particular course. All the faculties are highly qualified and experienced such as PhD holders and post graduates. The teaching method of teachers is quite interactive and efficient. There are class tests twice in one semester and final exams once in a semester. They are not at all difficult to pass only you need to attend your lectures.

Internships offered by the companies like Tata Digital, HSBC, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS Digital, Anglo-Eastern etc. Companies provide projects for getting experience and improving your skills. Their outcome is that you get better placement opportunities and salary packages while recruitment.

Students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd semester as MCA is a 2 years programme from 2020. Wipro, TCS, Adobe, Honda, Hero, Indiamart, Byjus, Compro etc. more than 100 offers are made for the students. The highest package offered is 5.5 lacs per annum and the average package is 3.5 lacs per annum. 80-85% of students get placed. My plan is to get a job in a reputed Multinational Company after completion of my programme.

The tuition fees are 64 thousand per year for MCA. There is no hike in fee structure for many years. They provide quality education in return. There is a scholarship facility for the students named 'UP Post Matric Scholarship'. On-campus jobs such as software development, software engineering, web developer, app developer etc are offered to the students before completion of their programme.

Annual fests that are celebrated in IET are 'CHETNA', 'ENCORE' they include musical nights, dance performances, play and skits etc. and technical fests like Hackathon is also organised for students to compete and showcase their technical skills. IET has a huge library with the latest magazines, international journals, newspapers and research papers. It also has a huge collection of cd-ROMs and periodicals. Academic books are all available there. The classrooms are quite large and spacious, neat and tidy with good furniture and whiteboard. A sports event is organised at IET named 'SHAURYOTSAVA'. It is an annual sports meet at IET, along with there are many clubs for extracurricular activities like dance, singing, photography, literature etc. A social media app is run by students named 'YAP' which is designed to connect alumni of IET.

Hostel rooms are quite open and ventilated they are not very big but is sufficient for a single person. They provide you with a single bed with a wooden table and a chair. The quality of the meal is very good even more than expected. The menu is weekly decided by the students themselves. Registration for the hostel is quite simple you just have to fill a form. Hostel fees is Rs. 14000(for room) + Rs. 4000 (for the mess).
