My Dream College

The admissions process was performed by GU i.e Gujarat University. The student who has cleared the HSC board exams should enrol on the admission process. I was asked to select the list of colleges I want to enrol in under GU. Luckily I got my second choice fulfilled. We were needed to visit the college for the document verification process and after its completion and payment of fees, admission was confirmed. This college demands you to have more than 80 percent in General Category as it is a prestigious government college.

I am a nerd of accounting and I love it so the reason for choosing Bachelors of Commerce is justifiable. Moreover, I am preparing for CA, so this course gives me time to manage the hectic schedule for studying in a parallel manner. In my course, there are 7 subjects and for each subject college has 2 professors, one primary and the other is the intern professor. The faculty is the charm of the college, a maximum of our professors are PhD degree holders in their own subjects and the remaining are also specialized in their subjects. They are very friendly and help us in every situation possible be it an academic or personal problem. Due to the pandemic, most of our classes till now have been online but our professors have managed to give their best in this situation also to bring the best out of us. I am in the 2nd Semester not and I have faced 3 exams till not of which 2 were college exams and 1 was GU exam in which difficulty level is moderate.

As I already mentioned, it is a government college so fees are not at all a concern for most students. Boys have to pay around 1600 for a year and girls have to pay 1000 for a year, also scholarship is available for those who are under BPL category and they need not pay even a paisa for the course. Job is provided in campus placement program after the course is completed but most of the students go for further studies like MBA or appear for UPSC etc.

People say that college life is a journey which not only educates you but makes you learn socializing also. The campus is just amazing you can find a canteen, library, a huge auditorium, garden etc. The events and activities arranged in the college is the cherry on the cake. There is so much to do. We have an NSS department, NCC department, also our principal has started Gandhian Society which makes the present generation aware of Gandhiji's ideology. Due to the pandemic, college resumed for only 4 weeks and even within such less time college managed to arrange a music fest and sports fest. College is surrounded by the best food location in Ahmedabad i.e. Law Garden. Scholarships are also given to students based on their financial condition. So there are plenty of extracurricular activities arranged here.
