Course Curriculum Overview

3

The aspects of the course I choose is generally universal. A field of commerce that is required by anyone and everyone and easy to get a job Outta it. The curriculum prepares not in a very decent manner because we are still taught with the old convention methods of say accounting or business. The improvements are needed on updating the course as per today's need and hire some faculties who are known with today's world rather with 30 years old experience. The exams are conducted twice every semester with one external conducted by university and other by college itself. The difficultly level is decent, not too easy and not too difficulty in my opinion. The exam timings are mostly in the afternoon after 2.

Placement Experience

3

Campus placements probably after the 6th sem. Companies visiting including TCS, axis Bank, Hdfc bank and firms from finance sector . The highest package being 5.5 lacks and the average being 3 lacks while the median being 2.7 lacks. The total offers made in 2025 are approximately around 50 to 60. Profiles offered are marketing and accounting and maybe 50 to 70 percentage students being placed and rest being at their own. My plans after this course is to countinue further studies in the same field

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college is very affordable as it is grant-in-aid college by the gujarat government and the admission are taken on merit basis ONLY. Fees varies from 600 to 1800-2000 depending on the course. I paid Rs 1250 for my B.com 1st sem and paid 1100 for the b.com 2nd sem. However I was amazed that the fees of the college decreases with the higher levels. Their is a 50% flat deductions for female students. For instance, my batchmate girls paid 650 for b.com sem 1 in comparison to me paying 1250. Their is also some deductions for schedule caste which may vary from 30 to 50 percent. The fees includes all type of tuition fees and university form fees of Rs 250 for the exams and no hidden charges thereafter.

Campus Life

3

Their is an annual fest in the month of January (name varies every year) and to my knowledge, their are few events every 2-3 months are curriculum. Their doens't exist a library I guess. The facilities in the classroom is no less than a private high fee college, a huge classroom with spacious benches, air conditioners and projectors for digital education. Fans and lights. Sports activities held in every semester which includes gymkhana and no social work or groups as to my knowledge exists.

Admission

The other colleges i applied for including Faculty of commerce from GLS University, H.L. college of commerce and neeldeep college. Exactly I was not rejected from other colleges but had them as an option if I had not made to this HA COLLEGE. I don't wanted to get into other colleges because of their high fee structure and low returns after completing course and not soo good image too. The admission process is quite careful. First you have to register yourself on the official site of GCAS of Gujarat government university, them choose your colleages you want to get in and then after few time you will get your colleges which are offered to you based upon your merit. The only eligibility is your cutoff percentage. Exam accepted are class 12th with any recognised board of studies (ICSE, CBSE, GSEB ETC.) most preferred exam is 12th board exam given under GSEB . Cutoffs are different as per the catagories and exams you've passed but the conclusion is you have to score a very good percentage (above 85) to get in the first or second round and below that would be just a luck if you got the seat. The admission process is completely online though GCAS and easy

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is decent as per the course. Approximately 50 to 70 students on 1 faculty becomes the ratio in lectures. The faculty for accounts being the most superior in teaching and the faculties for 3rd subjects being boring which includes 3rd language. However, the whole faculty is approachable and friendly. The frequency of exams are twice per semester which is internal and external. External is the exams which is conducted by university and internal is the demo form of external exams and we also have to submit assignment per semester. Marking schemes are different for every semester but 50 percentage of the total is given by university and rest 50 percentage is by college by way of internal exams and assignment

Night Life

4

Their is a gym for the common campus with student discounts, public area for roaming and parking is huge. Their is no hostel of the college and students have to accomodate themselves. Famous hangout places inside college is the cafeteria and parking and outside the university and college their is a place named law garden which is a famous shopping/hangout spot of the city with various street shopping and fast food. The locality is on 24/7 and is absolutely safe to roam around.
