Remarks
I had a personal interview session before I could go through with the process of admission. It was an easier process than I anticipated. The admissions office called and asked me to provide my documents which I did. When the time for counselling came I had to be there with my parents it was nice and they asked few things about me and then told me about the college and the degree l was opting for. They showed around the campus. It was a good experience all in all.
Course Curriculum Overview
The term exams were always on time and they conducted few tests sometimes after each unit. They were easy to pass only if you've studied previously. The teachers are cooperative so doubts were always cleared. If you couldn't pass your term exam on the first try you had to attempt again to pass it before writing for next term.
Internships Opportunities
Teachers are available on WhatsApp and groups are created so whenever the opportunity comes along students are made aware of it. There is not always paid internships and companies are not always willing to pay stipend but you're gonna have to work with that because in the end experience makes you go places. Also, an internship is mostly for experience yeah but if other than a hit of Covid it probably would get students paid internship program.
Placement Experience
NIET offers placement and you're eligible after you've completed your second semesters. You can opt for both on and off-campus. The highest they're willing to pay is 8 LPA to 12 LPA depends if or not the students can crack it. Byjus, Amazon and Vedantu are a few of the companies that have visited. There are so many more. You'll get placed if you're even an average student but you should be willing to put in the work.
Fees and Financial Aid
When the time for us came to get placed and have an internship the COVID had hit pretty hard so getting an internship with a stipend got difficult and we tried to get anything we could online. I had an internship I found on Facebook. It was unpaid but I learned while working for it. I'm sure new batches will have it easier as vaccines have been in place.
Campus Life
Life on the campus is okay. They have gender bias though as girls can't leave their hostels after 7 in the evening. It was a bit difficult to adjust but had to. They have a few shops and canteen on the premises so you always have somewhere to got and something to eat. There are so many activities that are always being conducted. I've coordinated many of them. Sports I'd say is a big go. Also any activity from singing to calligraphy to face painting there is always something going on. A plus is if you live on campus you'll enjoy them a lot more.
Hostel Facilities
Girls hostel were shared. They have 3 beds and 3 people to share it. There were common baths and washrooms which were cleaned twice and rooms were cleaned every day in the morning. I opted for a hostel. They provided separate cupboards tables chairs and book racks. Mess is downstairs in the basement food was good most of the days. Registration for hostels is easy they provide you one and allot you if you've asked them while applying.
Interview Experience
I had applied for colleges on few online platforms and because I had hood grades in my graduation it was a rather easier process. I didn't have to go through the group discussion round however I did have a Personal Interview round it was telephonic. They asked few questions from current happenings and a few from economics. After finishing with that it was easier thereon.
