Initially, josaa was organising counselling for students of jee . I opted for IITs in order of my priority . On the basis of my jee advanced ranking (AIR 6300) I got electrical engineering branch in B.Tech. I was a student of the general category. The minimum required percentage to take admission is 75% marks in class 12th board exams.
Course Curriculum Overview
My department is Electrical engineering. As far as my concern this branch opens a wide range of career opportunities to a student. He/ She can opt for core sector, government job, placement based on coding, and many more. There are 8100 students and 315 faculty members, making it an overall student-teacher ratio of 1:25. The majority of professors are tightly educated, having degrees like Ph.D. MTech.Each teacher has his own methodology here, which is unique and understandable . Exams are of moderate level and can be passed only with proper hands-on knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
Numerous companies like google Microsoft tata TCS and many more companies give internship opportunities to students of 2nd and 3rd year with stipend.. This provides students with a good amount of experience in their future career.
Placement Experience
Students can sit in placements starting from the 7th semester. Many top recruiters like Goldman Sachs, google, amazon, Microsoft arcesium, and many more arrive at campus every eyer to hire students . The highest package was 54 lakhs pa by google . They hire students from various sectors like coding, analysts, management, consulting, finance, IT sector, data analysts. I am planning to get placed by coding directly from college
Fees and Financial Aid
As iit Dhanbad is a government college, there is no such thing college fees hike policy. Fees are fixed for every semester, which students have to pay on fixed intervals. A general /OBC student has to pay approx. 9 lakh for 4 years of BTech. There is more than 30 scholarship program currently in college. College can also provide scholarships based on parental income.
Campus Life
There are many types of fest organized on campus. Namely SRIJAN socio-cultural fest, concerto, Basant, parikrama, excelsior. Cames life never camoes to halt. With over 7000 students around the country and dozens of fest around the year. The new library hall is the second largest modern library in Asia. Lecture halls are fully air-conditioned. one can find all types of a sports facility at it Dhanbad like gym, football cricket ground, big swimming pool badminton, tennis court basketball karate and even squash and many more. There are many types of clubs videography, robotics, dance literature, artificial intelligence, public speaking, and coding.
Interview Experience
E Advanced for B.Tech Admissions: For undergraduate programs like B.Tech, students have to clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced. The performance in this exam primarily determines admission. GATE for M.Tech Admissions: For postgraduate programs like M.Tech, candidates must clear the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Admissions are based on GATE scores, followed by a counseling process. Written Tests, Interviews, or Group Discussions for Other Programs: For other programs such as MBA, M.Sc, or Ph.D., the admission process might include a combination of written tests, personal interviews, and sometimes group discussions. These evaluations are designed to assess the candidate's knowledge, skills, and suitability for the program.
