Remarks

I applied only for velammal engineering college and not for any other college. No, I didn't avail any quota for admission. I applied for counselling with my 12th marks what I have scored. Cut off should be a minimum of 120 and age should be 17+.

Course Curriculum Overview

In every field the usage of instruments is necessary. There is an opportunity for instrumentation engineer in every field. That's why I have chosen this course. Faculty-student ratio 15:1. Every faculty in our department have finished a doctorate and above 10 yrs of experience. Comparing to other colleges we score good marks and the question paper will be quite easy.

Internships Opportunities

Some of the visiting companies providing internship offers. We have done mini projects using Arduino boards. Mini projects are compulsory in our department. Every student should do the mini project on their own.

Placement Experience

From 3 rd sem onwards students are eligible for campus placements, CTS, ZOHO, Wipro, HCL, vupum technologies, Amazon etc. No of offers made in each company is max 7, Highest salary package 7 lakhs per annum and the average package 2.5 lakhs per annum. 85 percentage of students are getting placed. After graduation, I will do maters degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

No hike in the fees and cost is student friendly. There is some scholarship for students whose parents income is very low and if they are the first graduate, they will provide and accept government scholarship.

Campus Life

The yearly symposium will be conducted. Technical and non technical events will be conducted in the month of Feb. Every Indian author and foreign authors books are available in the library. Max 6 books can be taken and IEEE journals also available and online ebooks are available from MCGRAW HILl publication. Projectors are available. All sports activities are conducted and intercollege competitions conducted. NCC, NSS,YRC, innivation club,math club, literary club, e cell. Our college gives equal importance to both academics and extracurricular activities.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

I applied for SSN and saveetha college. But now i am happy that i got this college. Because when compares to saveetha. My college have better placements. So im happy that i have this college.
