More than 90% of the students get placed, you have to put effort for that but they also provide many good training facilities here, many big companies like coda global, zoho, cts, hcl, wipro, infosys, etc come here for recruitment.
The faculty in mba are very nice and they used to encourage us
The college has a good infrastructure and good facilities like canteen, library, etc

Dislikes

And the campus washroom pipes are not working. They dont clean it everyday. During rainy season, the toilets will be fulled
Its an very strict college. They wont allow us to wear casuals in the college. It can be changed.

About VEC and their problems

Likes

Velammal college provides excellent education with great infrastructure
The campus environment is very positive and encourages students to achieve their goals
Well disciplined institutions with good teaching and a very good placements

Dislikes

The first thing I disliked in this college was food
The hostel food is very bad though they are paying for the mess
But the food was not good and they are feeling for that,so this is the things I disliked in the velammal college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I joined mechanical engineering but I have expected electronics communication engineering but due to low cut off I got mechanical engineering but I didn't worry because in the freshers day was about 3 days and more chiest guest alumni came to that event and all motivates us that course is not important the skill we have is important.

The first thing i like about my college is my staff. They are really friendly and more supportive. The faculties work there are very skilled and also mentor us for our projects and help us to score good marks in studies.
The quality and infrastructure of college is quite neat and well. There we have a auditorium which is very good and better environment. Classroom are very neat and clean.
There is no partiality in students. Everyone is same. This is the best thing. The college maintain discipline and decorum is very fine

Dislikes

Its an very strict college. They wont allow us to wear casuals in the college. It can be changed.

In sports and extra curriculsr activities, you can only play games if you know the game very well in school.they wont teach you those sports activities.i think it could be better

Placement Experience:

From 5th senester students are eleigible for the placements. So your 5th semester cgpa is very important. This college provide placements from companies like zoho, accenture, tcs , hexaware, mitsogo and more. The highest package is 12Lakhs and lowest package us 3lakhs.60 percentage of students are getting placed each year. Its fully depend on your skills. My plan is to place in campus placements for a web developer role.

Placement opportunities And placement training
Easy and simple ways of teaching the concepts
Makes us punctual and grooming plays important role

Dislikes

infrastructure maintanence and very small campus with school inside
Over restrictions and school like rules and regulations
Canteen food is available only during a certain time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose this because of the course offered. And I got admission by Anna University counseling. I was offered seat only by the SC quota. Exams are in three phases. continuous internal examination Model examination and semester end examination. There will be enough time to prepare for these exams

The campus so small and it must be maintained properly
There is no important to sports in the college
More restricted things are in this college

The students are eligible for placement from third year in this college.the placement companies accompany with this college are quite impressive.the placement offers are also available to all students highest package is 800000 per annum and lowest is 120000 per annum.students who didn't have not failed in any exam are being selected.im going to do master degree in my course now

Good place learn has good learning opportunities
Good and pretty environment all around the college
Well trained professors for all department with mininum 5years experience

Dislikes

There is less placement for core companies for non it departments
The hostels foods are average and not many varaties
They don't usually conduct culturals at all

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have got mechanical engineering in counseling however i like to go in it companies which i was studing extra computer add on course through nptel which was suggested by the management The exam timing for cie 1 and 2 is 1:30 hrs And for cie 3 its around 3hours

infrastructure is also good very neat campus

they should have to improve the placements percentile
mess is not that good as i expected its average

Fees is affordable as other college fees are so high .

Dislikes

The management which has so many rules .
The campus which is so small & the mess food is annoying sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Project ideas are well appreciated in this college . Many faculties help the students to make their own project and also they provide support for startups. They allow students to participate in various college symposiums.

This college is located within the Chennai
The professors in this college are friendly and have great knowledge
The students in this college is very disciplined

Dislikes

There is no cultural events in this college
Semester holiday will be very less and study holiday also less
The time duration between two semesters is very less

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement .Many IT companies visited this year but only few core company visited .the company Cts ,Wipro etc.. visited as of now.And 40 percent of students placed in final year.in this year the highest package id 6.4 lakhs and the average pack is 3.45 lakhs. I am planning for my higher studies

Likes

Good teaching staff are available in every department
Teachers are guided student to improve our career growth.

Dislikes

Laboratory is must improve with machine and technology.
Physical education staff are very irritated person.
It's not a college feel and we treated like school students

At the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements and highest package of salary is 9lpa and average package of salary is 4lpa.Companies are visited like tcs, cts, wipro, sify, blue star, hffc, zf, more companies visted like this.

The placement is is good in the IT department There is good salary package the average package is 3LPA and there is more product companies are visiting regularly like presidio, Zoho etc.. But ther is less placement opportunities for the non IT DEPARTMENT there less core competencies
