Remarks
I gave an entrance exam conducted by GBU then they checked my marks in 12th for which they had set a cutoff of 60% overall. Then we had counselling in which according to our rank in entrance exam we were asked to give preference of branch. The admission process was very smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the ECE branch because I wanted to do ETO in future. Almost all faculties are well qualified and are ready to solve our academic problems all the time. Each teacher has their own pros and cons some teaches extremely good some are good and some teachers are not good at all in teaching methodology although it happens in all colleges and it's my subjective view. If I don't like any teachers teaching methodology it may be my fault too and not always of the teacher. Exams are held twice a semester one is called mid sem and the other is called end sem. Although some teachers take regular class tests and viva for internal assessments. Labs are well equipped and lab assistants are very friendly and always ready to support in learning new stuff.
Internships Opportunities
For technical degree students, the University provides internship in NMRC. But internship assistance is not good here. You have to work on your own for that although faculties will always support you for those.
Placement Experience
Placement is good for CS/IT/ECE students here. Most of them are able to at least grab offers from the campus itself. It's completely on your skills like coding, communication and industrial and theoretical knowledge that what package you can grab. Companies like Paytm, Cognizant, DirectX, LG, Byju's etc visit campus and provide packages ranging from 3 lakh to 24 lakh INR per annum. Although many students here prefer for masters after a degree and not a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are pretty average but are high in comparison to some other government colleges but they increase fees for every other batch in huge amount. Our batch pays 52000/- INR as semester fees but the batch joining this year will have to pay 75000/- INR per semester. Although the UP residing students get a good amount of scholarship and for the students other than UP they provide a scheme called NSP in which you can take scholarship if you're eligible. Also, the fess I mentioned is of General students. Fees of SC/ST students are almost half that of general ones.
Campus Life
The best thing about GBU is its campus. It has one of the most mesmerizing campuses consisting of greenery, a fountain, architectural buildings and a Sarovar. There are plenty of books available at the library and you can gather a lot of knowledge while sitting at the library. We have an annual fest called 'Abhivyanjana' and tech fests, food fests, sports fest, management fest etc each managed by various clubs like a debate club, literature club, art club, dance club, hip-hop club etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is pretty good here in GBU. Everyone gets a single room consisting of a bed, chair, table, almirah, light, fan and the most attractive part is each room has a separate balcony. Each hostel has a TV room, study room and a beautiful basketball or volleyball or tennis court. You will also get a LAN port in a hostel for internet facilities. Food is average here but better than many hostels I have been to. It's compulsory here to reside in a hostel and it's better to be in the hostel as you meet many great people here and it's very pocket friendly. Hostel and mess together cost 65000/- INR annually.
Other Applied Colleges
