My journey in LPU

Yes, I applied for 1 more college was loyad law college and I also gave the CLAT exam for NLU but was not able to qualify it so I read reviews of the law college of lpu and they were positive so I applied for admission to LPU. No, I didn't apply for any quota. There was as such no certain criteria for admission in my program but I have to be 12th pass and there was a criterion for the scholarship if I scored good marks in 12th but I opted for the LPU nest exam and was able to score good marks in it and got the scholarship. The admission process was very easy as at the time of my admission I used to live in Jamshedpur Jharkhand so it would have been very difficult for me to go to Punjab for taking admission but their counsellor was present in Jamshedpur ad he did the initial process of admission like booking the subject the hostel room and mess facility and later on when I reached lpu the rest of the procedure was done and it was very easy and the staff there were also very helpful.

I opted for this subject because from the beginning I wanted to do something in the law field and as my father is an inspector I was also inclined towards the law and order field and I also wanted to become a magistrate so I opted for this subject. The Faculty and student ratio is good. All the faculty members of the school of law are very qualified and are very knowledgeable in their fields and many of our faculty members are also PhD holders and many are doing PhD so the faculty and their teaching skills are very good. In our program in a semester which is of 6 months, a midterm and an end-term exam is held on a regular basis and every subject has 3 CA in a semester and yes 75% attendance is compulsory.

I have not done any internship with stipend but have done internship under several advocates of the district court and high court and the experience was very good. As I was doing an internship I was given the task of drafting cases and I also got the chance to read many case laws and also got the opportunity to observe the court proceeding very closely so overall it was a very nice experience.

In my program form the 5th year students become eligible for college placement. As I am in 4th year I can't give many details about the company visited. As far as I know, the highest package offered by a company was 8 lakh per annum. After getting the degree I will prepare for judicial services or for Civil Services.

There are no as such fees hike in my program but yes there was a slight increase in the fees for the hostel facility. But overall the fee structure is good. At the time of admission, I opted for giving the LPUNEST which is LPUs own scholarship test that a student can give and if he scores good marks then there would be a considerable rebate in their tution fee.

As lpu is a very big university with students from all across the country and from abroad as well so lpu conduct's many fests every year like one India, one world, recently it also hosted the nation science Congress with PM Modi as the chief guest and it also conducts many other festival and students cheerfully participate in them. Yes, our law block has its own library which is having all the necessary book's which a student may need and there is a central library as well for all the students which are quite big and have all the books one could need. Classes have all the modern amenities like HD projectors in every class, CCTV camera, Air condition, good sitting facility overall the classrooms are good. As the campus of LPU is very big about 600 Acer's the sports activity in our college is very nice the college conducts cricket match ok a regular basis among teams of the hostel it also has several basketball fields Tennis courts and Volleyball courts and the University also has a DSW.

The university has a total of 7 boys hostel and 6 girls hostel. And the rooms provide very nice facility you can opt between AC and cooler room and from 1 bed to 4 bedrooms every student gets his own study table and chair all the rooms have geasere facility for hot water in winters and if any of this breaks then the hostel authority will repair it if you complain. The Meal quality of the hostel mess is also good you can opt between north Indian and. South Indian food and they have a good variety of food and every day a sweet dish is also served and the mess area is also very big so you can sit comfortably and it also has a large cooler for cold air and also has water cooler for cold water. The registration process is very easy and the hostels are affordable according to me. Not opted for PG.
