Entrance Preview

I took JEE main. My rank was near about 85k .I scored 116 in mains . My parents and cousins who are still studying here motivated me to get into the climax.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, Ofcourse. If you secure 8.5 or above as an average in the 1st and 2nd year then there will be a couple of opportunities are available. Average stipend will be 15000 and duration will be 30 days or maximum 45 days.

Placement Experience

Placements are really very better as compared to other colleges in Odisha. TCS/wipro etc come giving jobs in IT sectors and Hindalco, CISCO, Mahindra etc comes giving jobs in core sectors. Average salary will be about 4.5 lacs per annum and maximum will be even 15lpa .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its very cheap as compared to other institutes i.e private or govt. We have to pay about 65000/- per annum including tuition and hostel fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, Loan facility is available. Loan is being sanctioned by SBI which has a branch inside our campus. 80-90% tuition fee loan are also available.

Campus Life

Campus is awesome. A greenish environment with full of trees beautifies the whole beauty of VSSUT. Gender Ratio M:F 3:1 approx. I don't have much knowledge on the co-curricular activities as i am a fresher. But definitely I would like to join ROBOTIX club as it has a good reputation in IITs and NITS as well.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are very neat and clean. Food is hygiene indeed. And every hostel has its own ground ,common room, canteen,dinning room etc. The bath rooms and toilets are also good and are being cleaned everyday.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Faculty

The faculties of this institute are highly qualified. 80-90% of the faculty members are from IITs and NITs having helping and student friendly nature.

IIIT Bhubaneswar means technology!

Placement Experience:

Amazon, Google, Wipro, HCL Tech and many such which has been around for a while in the tech business and has built tech for many overseas companies too are the ones which have already started coming. I am in my final year and around 40% students have already been recruited and I hope before this semester ends, i too get placements.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains.
