Remarks
I applied to Delhi University and IP university and eventually decided to attend JIMS because of its location and reviews. I did not avail any quota. There was no minimum age specified in the admission process. There was a minimum rank for general admissions that had to be met with. The councelling was online. In order to confirm admission, we had to submit the required documents in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I from a Commerce background and see career prospects for myself after my graduation in this course. There is plenty of faculty and its always ensured that no lecture goes unattended. The faculty are highly qualified and experienced. A majority of them are PhD's and their teaching method is quite easy to understand. The exams were held online and were easy to pass. There was a delay from the university.
Internships Opportunities
Our college has offered an internship in WhiteHat Jr under which there were roles such as marketing and business development. There was no stipend given for this internship. I am not aware of the projects and outcomes.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements after 5th semester. I am not aware of the companies that have visited and made no offer. The highest average package to my knowledge has been 2Lpa. 30% of students get placements I plan on pursuing an MBA after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are higher compared to government colleges but are quite affordable. There was no fee hike in recent times. The fees have remained constant. However, I feel, due to classes being online, there can be a reduction in the fees. I did not receive any scholarship, financial assistance and haven't gotten a job yet.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called ZEST that is conducted in the month of October. It involves the 3 campuses of JIMS. books and journals and previous year's projects are readily available in the library for students to access. The classes are equipped with whiteboards, blackboards, projectors, and AC's. On-campus activities are limited due to the campus size, however, small-scale competitions are held frequently. There are plenty of co-curricular clubs such as the data science club that is for students and run by students.
