Hotel Management (B.Sc.) from IHM Chandigarh

I appeared in the NCHMJEE exam and got the rank 1574 in that therefore I got IHM Chandigarh in my counselling. You can avail Category quota. minimum age is 16 and maximum is 26. The admission process is smooth and everything can be done online. The better the rank in nchm JEE the better the college. it is one of the top Central government colleges for Hotel Management.

I was interested in a Front Office job so I appeared for a hotel management degree. The faculty is highly trained and professional. The faculty: student ratio is 1:20. that is for every 20 students there is 1 faculty. Every faculty member is at least postgraduate and even some professors have doctorates. Exams happen twice per semester, that is mid semester exams and term end exams. The exams are not very difficult and can be easily passed by attending the classes.

Students start appearing for campus placements from the 5th semester. Some companies that come for placements are Taj, Oberois, IHG, ITC, Marriot, Accor, McDonald's, KFC, Dominoes etc. Highest package of 7.5 lakhs per annum and the average package of 3 lakhs per annum. 100% of students achieve in campus placements, even some students secure more than 1 job, as already mention that I had two job offers. I am planning to do Masters in hotel management (M.Sc.) and go into the academics line.

The fee per semester is 50000 and the fee for all 6 semesters comes around 3 lakhs. The fee is duly justified as the Hotel Management degree has practical classes which cost a lot. Comparing to the so expensive private college, the fee is quite affordable and good. No province of scholarship, but you can easily avail student loan as the college is well reputed and trusted. I secured two jobs 1.) Manager position in Nandos Chandigarh at 3.5 Lakhs per annum. 2.) Associate level job in Oberois Hyderabad at 2.5 lakhs per annum.

Amazing campus life with full independence. Each and every festival is celebrated and parties are organised. Both freshers and Farewell parties are held for students. The library is huge with numerous books and magazines available for the students. The classrooms have Air conditioning and Smart Boards in each room. Clean and hygienic washrooms. Sports day celebrated every year, various sports are played and prizes are distributed. Many students clubs are available to choose from like Kitchen club, FnB club, Photography club, Editorial club etc.
