IET Lucknow

IET Lucknow is one of the best engineering colleges in North India and the top-ranked engineering college of AKTU. For all these reasons I decided to pursue my MCA from this college. This college now admits students to various undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses through UPCET, which is conducted by NTA. Eligibility criteria for MCA are that one must be a graduate with Mathematics as a subject either in graduation or at 12th level. The admission process is very smooth although you may have to wait for your turn on the counselling day since there are so many courses and hence so many students appearing for counselling.

I always had an interest in learning programming languages since I had learnt Java in 10th. This course provides good job opportunities too. The faculty to student ratio is good enough. The faculty members are well qualified and the teaching methodology is also good. The term exams were on time and it's very easy passing exams here.

Many good companies provide internships, most of them are online for now because of COVID restrictions. Students get good enough striped. The projects and internships help students in getting good placements both on-campus and off-campus.

Students become eligible for placement in their second last semester. Because of COVID restrictions, not many companies have visited for now, but many good companies specially from the IT field visit the campus every year and students get packages as high as 12-15 lac pa. The average package is around 4 lac. I will participate in placements as and when I become eligible.

The fee is never hiked much considering it's a government-run institution. All the courses here are affordable and within reach of a middle-class student. The scholarship is provided by UP Government to needy students.

We have a cultural fest 'Encore', which is organised every year. "Shauryotsava" is the Annual Sports and Games Fest, and “Parakram" is the Technical Fest held every year. All departments/departmental societies of the Institute organize events in their respective fields.

There are safe almirahs provided in every room. Meal quality is good and food is prepared as per the menu and in a very healthy and clean way. The registration process is very simple and the warden helps us with that. The hostels are affordable and hostellers get a scholarship from UP Government.
