Remarks

As its one of the most decorates institute within the state of Jammu & Kashmir for a technical degree, I chose this college because of the same only. It is one of the best to pursue any technical degree within the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It selected the students based on the JKCET exam conducted by BOPEE and you need to clear the cutoff to get admission in it.

Course Curriculum Overview

As Computer Science was a field of my interest and one of the most demanded skills now a day, so I chose Computer as my field of pursuing my Bachelor of Engineering degree. The faculty is very supportive and adopt the latest skills to give students the best way to learn.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 72500 per year

Placement Experience

The placements in the college are quite good as compared to other colleges in the state. Various technical and non-technical companies visit the campus and college arrange off-campus drives as well for the students in association with other colleges as well. The average salary package for technical jobs is 4 LPA and non-technical jobs vary from 4 LPA to 12 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The campus jobs are one of the highest within the state of Jammu and Kashmir as compared to other colleges within the state. The fees are certainly high as compared to the other colleges but it's worth it to spend if you want to get some great skill within the state.

Campus Life

Life on the campus is one of the best things as it includes an annual fest in around March of every year named Sammilan, boot camps every mostly in even semester which give students a great lifetime experience. Also, the campus has a library with a variety of books available to read.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.
