Remarks

SFIT provides a variety of courses best of which are the ones with which it started I.e CSE,IT, EXTC. As I gained my admission through MH CET admission process was through their portal. The minority here is Christian so for their cut-off is less than other students.

Course Curriculum Overview

CSE Department here follows the curriculum designed by MU. Exams are also conducted as per the pattern decided by MU. Faculty are highly skilled and passionate with high knowledge about the subject, and they are always approachable.

Internships Opportunities

Various internships were offered to start from the 5th semester by the college, which included technical content writing, python, and many more internships. This internship included no stipend atleast not mine.

Placement Experience

The placement ratio is very good. Also, there is a placement cell to help students prepare for placement interviews. They help in building basic skills. Various companies like TCS, Capgemini, Reliance Jio, L&T Infotech visited this year. The average salary for this year's placements was 4 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here is approx 110000. Scholarships are available for minorities as per the document from the government. Various internship opportunities are also available with hands-on experience. Many startups have originated from SFIT.

Campus Life

Campus life is great, newly build indoor sports utility club provides with TT table, carrom, chess. There is basketball, volleyball courts. Classrooms have projectors as well as more than enough space to accommodate the students. ISTE, IEEE, and many other clubs are there which help improve your skills and conduct fests.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. SFIT the brave,the bold and the pressured

I entered thru cap round which plays a significant role in course eligibility in prestigious colleges , this college was recommended to me by a long stream of family members and it has lived upto a part of its reputation. I didn't get rejected but SFIT my 3rd most important college as I had to check for other better colleges which i knew i couldn't get in as part of a strategy. Eligibility depends on aspects like college minority and minority eligibility in this case Catholic or Christian need to have 65 plus in percentile of CET . The others who are eligible required a 95 plus percentile for minority eligibility....Read More
