Amity University, Noida- Review

Since Bachelor of statistics is not a very common course so not many colleges provide this course. Cut of for admission in DU is very high for this course and after DU I could find only Amity university Noida to get admission in. For admissions there will an entrance test which will have general English questions followed by an interview and if you pass in both of them the next or the other day you will receive a message for your admission. This course consists of 6 semesters and each semester consists of 6 months moreover the faculty for this department are very cooperative and every faculty has specialization for this course also the infrastructure of the college is very nice which includes a very big library followed by cafeteria also every classroom is air conditioned and most important is they are very much particular about the hygiene. While choosing for this college I visited two sites i.e. shiksha.com as well as collegedunia.com

Many students opt for this course and moreover is it a very good stream for the students who wants to make their career in finance and management so that's why I opted for this course. The class consists of 27 students and faculty is very well educated except 1 or 2 members every faculty as specialization in this course. Term exam are conducted within 3-4 months when a semester starts and if you listen in the class well so they are not very difficult .

Not many students apply for the interviews during placement because everyone wants to do masters in this course so from last year pass put batch only 10 student opt for interview out of which only 4 were selected and got the annual package of 3 lakh per annum .

This 3 year course fees is around Rs 360000 and if you got good marks in 12th then you can opt for scholarship like if you score more than 95% there will be 100% scholarship similarly if you got more than 90% there will be 50% fees waiver and if you got more than 85% there will be 30% fees waiver . These waivers are only for 1st year . I don't know exactly about the placement but our senior batch got placed in which only 3-4 students were shortlisted and all of them got placed with 3 lakh per annum .

There is only fest which is conducted which is called AYF i.e. amity youth festival and is conducted once in a year. The college campus consists of a very huge library which has almost all the books for all over the courses . After this there are many clubs for the students to indulge in various extra curriculum activities .

There was no GD for selection , only an interview was conducted where there were only two faculties and they firstly asked for the introduction followed by some basic questions regarding the course. There is nothing to prepare for the interview you should only have the basic knowledge for the course .
