Internship is offered to students who are eligible and college arranges various seminars

Shree Swaminarayant Institute ( SSIT ) was recommended to me by one of my family members who have already been there. The admission process was quite hassle free after I got in to the merit list through ACPC. Niraj Thakor sir guided me with the complete admission procedure. The main reason behind selecting this college was the limited class size which makes faculty - student interaction easier. The locality and infrastructure was the cherry on the cake, as the college is equipped with all the latest amenities and situated at the locality where transportation can't be an issue. Where as other colleges comparatively have large class sizes which creates a bridge gap for students to interact with faculties. And other colleges are located in the deserted outskirts of the city which aren't accessible easily.

Pursuing my bachelor's in Computer Engineering has been one of my career objectives from the start and when I visited SSIT for orientation, I met faculties of Computer Department and I got assured with my choice. Because all the faculties seemed to have the vast knowledge of their domain of expertise. The faculty : student ratio is almost 1:1. Though all the doubts of students are solved instantly, extra classes are arranged for them on Saturdays. Students are also advised to learn from faculties personally in their free times. Though our education system follows theoretical approach for teaching, faculties here focus on practical and problem solving approach along with the theoretical approach. Students' learning is assessed with Weekly and Monthly Unit tests, quizzes and Mid semester exams.

I haven't been to a campus placement as I am currently in 6th semester and only final year students are eligible to appear in campus placement interviews. But as much as I know from my seniors, eligible students bag a good package from reputed companies of Gujarat. And those who can not make it for a job or an internship, they still get the training probation from the company. Besides college placement, faculties also guide students to apply for other jobs and make them aware of opening of jobs in various companies and guide them for their portfolio and application to make through an interview. As I've been working as an Intern in an IT company of Ahmedabad, I could make it with the guidance of faculties of my department.

The fees structure is quite feasible for all the students. Students can pay fees in installments. Students can get help of various organizations for fee waiver schemes and scholarships. Cost of Study is quite nominal i.e. 61,000 Rs per year and no extra or hidden cost is additionally charged.

Annual Fest and Tech Fest is organized by faculties and students of the college in the month of February and March along with those fests, various cultural festivals are also organized by college throughout the year. College's library is quite well managed with the help of advanced technology. Along with course related books, one can find various cultural and general knowledge based books. College has a multipurpose playground which can be seen as soon as one enters into the campus premise where students can play various sports such as cricket and soccer. There's also a small ground which can be used to play badminton, volleyball and tennis. College has various social media handles to entertain students and a website to keep students updated with the latest circulars and stuffs.
