Remarks

I choose the college mainly because of the 100% placement and also a perfect campus and the main other reason why I choose the college was because of sports and here I was able to manage till the university. It's a great benefit for me. I have applied for this College, Later I had an interview and I got a seat in the College. I was very interested in Accounts and Finance that made me to choose this Course. The First Step in the admission procedure was applying for the required Course Application Online or Offline. A later list of selected candidates was published in the list based on criteria. Later there was an Interview with the Interview Panel. Then I got a seat in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was very interested in accounts and finance that made me choose this course. There are around 4 classes for B.Com in my college and the faculty is around 20 teachers. The teaching staff has completed their M.Com or MBA likewise. Right now due to Covid-19 the teaching method is an online process where they show us many videos and explain in detail. We had our internals going once a month and the term exams were once in 6 months. It was easy to clear it out.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship Programs, NGO Internships. The department initiated the NGO internship programme to facilitate students, learning opportunities outside the classroom. Internship programs are designed to offer exposure to students from varied academic and professional backgrounds. These experiences provide the opportunity to apply classroom theory to “real world” situations, thus enhancing the students’ academic and career goals. All the students have involved themselves in different NGO’s for a week period during their first-semester vacation. NAMS Sehasadan, Mother Teresa Home, Amba, Birds of Air, Kruthagyatha Trust, Jewish Trust, Nemmadi Trust and Sparsha Trust are some of the NGO’s served by students. The experience and skills that they gain through the internship help them to transform themselves into a better student, better employee and overall a better human being.

Placement Experience

4.5

The Placements was Good. There were many top companies that came for Placement for different Job Roles. I had 2 Internships during my College days which was a good experience about the market and the work environment. Our college has a very good placement cell, which is handled by an excellent placement management team. Our college offers 100% placement for all the students, who are willing to get placed. An internal interview is held within the college, to make the students free of tension. The placement starts from 5th semester 80% of students get qualified for a good company mostly the starting package company gives is 20000 I can't give more information because I haven't completed my degree yet.

Fees and Financial Aid

For first-year it is 60000, and for the remaining years, it is 50000. The fees structure is feasible. No additional charges are charged by our college as advance. These fees include our uniform, add on course, library fees. The college allows students from a poor background to pay fees as term wise payment. My college also provides various scholarship opportunities for backward classes and merit scholarship also to those who score good marks under National Scholarship Portal. This helps in financial assistance to those who can't pay fees. Our College also helps in campus placement in future and has a wide range of network with various reputed companies.

Campus Life

5

St. Claret College has a library of academic resources such as books, magazines, Journals, statistics, encyclopedias, databases, back volumes, CDs/DVDs, project reports, audio/video cassettes, question bank and the Internet. The library has more than 14000 books, 70 periodicals & journals, 8 newspapers and 475 CDs/DVDs. It has also subscribed to INFLIBNET, DELNET and MINTBOOKS. INFLIBNET and MINTBOOKS provide unique user name and password for each faculty and student to access its online resources.

Interview Experience

4

GD or PI would be decided as per our percentage. People who secured good marks had personal interview. I went through a personal interview process where I was asked to introduce myself and tell why I had chosen this course. What is my aim and what would I like to become in future and my role model etc. Later on, they informed me about the rules and regulations of the institution and this is how I went into St. Claret College.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
