Remarks

One of the oldest universities in India, as well as Asia. College has a good placement record, decent fees, and most importantly it is located in the city and close to Santa Cruz station. Decent crowd as it's a women's college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers are friendly, syllabus is almost relevant to Mumbai university but it's updated every now and then. Exams are conducted regularly and projects are given importance.

Highest package- 7lpaLowest -3lpaSome of the major mass recruiters hire from the college.Placement ratio is around 70-80 Percent. Varies every year. Students have also bagged decent jobs off campus. But it's totally based on the students capability.

College Events

There are so many councils and so many fests which provide a lot of exposure and a good break from academics. Minimum 2 industrial visits in a year. Library has most of the books you'll need but the quantity of books, not sure.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Average salary is 4lpa. Total course Fees is also 4 lakhs. Campus placements are decent if you have an aggregate of 60 percent throughout the course.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

For campus placement students from 3rd year for my course are eligible. Highest package for my course is 3 LPA. Companies like oberois , hyatt etc . If I'll get better placements then I'll go for it otherwise I'll do masters.

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Tata Group, Reliance Group, Aditya Birla Group and some other niche names from corporate are the ones who come for placements at law college. Since every year 300 students pass out and 150-175 of them get jobs from the college placement and the average salary offered is around 6-7 lakhs. Highest though last year was of 20LPA.

LIFE AT USHA MITTAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

i applied in difffrent colleges like ST. Francis college of engineering, borivali , Atharva college of engineering , malad etc. I didnt make it there as being a student belonging to the open category the cutoff for my desired branch was a bit higher whereas my college provided me with an opportunity to be eligibible for my desired branch.
