Remarks

Overall it was a great experience. I got many friends who are still has part in my life. We always try to keep in touch and meet regularly, at least once a year. Regarding the management, being the college is owned by IHRD we had all the support from them building our college infrastructure up to the expectation as per the suggestions.

Entrance Preview

CEE Kerala. I got a rank of 9K. I don't remember the exact number. I joined this college since it was the nearest college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was good. The C, CPP, JAVA learned during the course period and the OOPS concepts helped a lot in my professional career. Also the mini and major projects helped me to land into the world of web development. The ADA subject was also helpful for me in my career.

Internships Opportunities

No. There was not internship available at our college. Since it was a new college at the time of our admission, even the infrastructures were not up to the mark. There was regular placement drives and many of my colleagues got placed during that time.

Placement Experience

3.5

Our collge was under IHRD and there were many placement drives conducted for the IHRD colleges and many of my colleagues got placed in Infosys, TCS, CTS, iFlex etc. There were placement drives conducted particularly for our college too but just a few.

College Events

4

Yearly sports and arts events conducted in addition to the college day celebrations. Some IEEE seminars, Inter college gaming contest, Eye checkup camp etc were also conducted in our college during my course period. We also participated and won many medals for our college in university arts and sports fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I got admission in the merit seat and the merit fee was very feasible which was only about 4k per year. This is the case for merit students. For management students, at that time, the fee was about 37K and which was quite less compares to the current fee of 75K.

Fees and Financial Aid

Syndicate bank offered a loan upto 30k for all students who required funds for any need. They only need to apply with the college id card, copies of certificate, and a few copies of passport size photo without any collatoral. It took only a few days for the loan to get sanctioned.

Campus Life

3

Great and fun. It was really fun with all the friends. We had many groups like small gangs and each groups compete with each other in everything, academic, extra curricular, sports etc. There was no politics in our college and even the college elections were not conducted in the banner of any parties. All the candidates were independent.

Hostel Facilities

2

I will rate just 4 out of 10. At the time of my joining, my college was only 2 years old and there was no official college hostel facility. Also the mess was a small one and only meals was available. There were private hostel and paying guest accommodation nearby, which the students utilized.

Alumni/Alumna

Actually there was no alumni at the time of my course period since the college was a new on. Seniors were really helpful and friendly. Once they passed out and joined in MNC, they really helped us too in building a career and even referred us to their firms.

Exam Structure

Regular series exams and 50% of the internal marks will be based on the performance in these exams. Some faculties conduct regular class tests instead of assignments. Regarding the labs, we had good lab facilities and lab staffs. Learned a lot new things from the labs.

Faculty

4

Good. Even though most of the faculty are guest lecturers, they were friendly, cooperative and most importantly has good knowledge on the subjects. They also helped us during our mini and major project to decide which project to work on and how to prepare the documentation and all.

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Students normally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (3rd year). TIST has ties with many companies that visit the campus for placement drives every year. Some of the known recruiters include: TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Aspire Systems, Birlasoft, ITC Infotech, South Indian Bank, HTC Global, Schneider Electric, Danfoss, Rikun and others.Highest Package: Up to around ?10 LPA Collegedunia Average Package: Around ?3–4 LPA for many companies. Some department reviews suggest averages closer to ?3–4 LPA and up. Around 75–80% of eligible students get placed each year across various departments. Careers360

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
