Remarks
Less fees, good teaching, Best in class Hostel, Good Environment to learn. I estimated that I would get this college while selecting a college based on my rank in common entrance test. This college had a decent infrastructure and a good reputation in that place
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BE Mechanical as I was interested in core. It has a good faculty student ratio. All faculties have minimum post graduation, they incorporate modern teaching methods, Exams were delayed at times due to affiliation with university, It was moderately difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
College did not offer internships, they gave only recommendation letters. We had to find on our own through contacts and had to work without pay. Internship experience was pretty decent in Indian Railways
Placement Experience
Placements are pretty good for Computer Science students, but mechanical branch placements are average. 7th semester is the earliest you can apply for a job although there are 8 semesters. Majority placements are in corporates of Information Technology.
College Events
The annual fest was called sentia. Many popular singers had come. The fest was outstanding and chairperson had invested a lot in this fest. The library was well equipped with books and journals. There was a fully airconditioned canteen and air conditioned classrooms. There was a large cricket ground, basket ball court, football court, and badminton court.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees were affordable for those who came through government quota. Management quota seats were expensive and had no scope for scholarships. There were no scholarships on offer for general category students which is sad. Reserved category students had more scholarship opportunity.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are best in class with attached bathrooms. They mess provides food 4 times a day. Pretty decent and hygienic. They take a deposit of 20000. Hostel is monitored with a cctv and is cleaned regularly. There is also a gym facility in hostel. The mess food is excellent some days and horrible some days,
Admission
I wrote the CET exams conducted in state level. CET is conducted by Karnataka examination Authority. The admissions are based on the rank we get in this test. The paper was easy compared too JEE. The allotment was completely automated to ensure fair allotment. The paper had 180 questions 90 each in physics, chemistry and mathematics. There was no negative marking. Hard core preparation in boards ensured a decent performance in this test.
