Remarks

It is one of the top 10 engineering colleges in Hyderabad. It has a good infrastructure and the college is equipped with all the necessary labs, a basketball court, a football court, a cafeteria and a spacious canteen. Teaching and non-teaching staff are all well qualified and deliver the content properly to the students. There are a lot of student clubs in the college which help in the all-round development of the student. Admission to the college is through the TSEMCET exam. Several fests are held every year to encourage students in technical as well as non-technical fields. Faculty are friendly with the students and always try their best to give students the best of their knowledge. The drawback of the college is that it has a uniform code. The attendance is not provided to the students during fests, so student needs to manage their academics and co circular at the same time. The placement opportunities are good compared to other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have chosen ECE (Electronics and Communication engineering) as this branch offers wide opportunities to the students. I am very much interested in electronics and coding, hence I have chosen this branch. There is a 60:1 faculty ratio in the college. All the faculty members are wee qualified with masters and also PHD holders. The teaching is done by smart boards which gives clarity on the concepts. The internet facility is available to all classrooms, hence the subject is explained in depth. The faculty takes great interest in making sure that every student gets the concept. The institute is autonomous under JNTU, so all the examinations are conducted under the guidelines of the university. The centre for the examinations is the college itself as it is autonomous. The internal exams which the college conducts are comparatively easy. Importance is laid on writing notes, assignments and maintaining a decent amount of attendance.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college offers internships in collaboration with companies like Microchip academy, CISCO, etc. These internships are not free and a certain fee has to be paid. Also, these internships do not provide a stipend. The internships are for a period of a maximum of one month and at the end of the internships, the student has to do a project to get certified. The internship offered do not require any pre-request most of the time and start from the basic level.

Placement Experience

3

There are on-campus placements in the college. The campus drive begins from the 6th semester in the college. The eligibility criteria for the campus placement depends on the companies. Some companies allow students above 50% while some allow above 75%. Many renowned companies like TCS, Infosys, CISCO, etc visit the college to recruit students. TCS takes a lot of students while the CISCO limits the intake of the students to 5. The highest package ranges from 20-10 lakes per annum and the average salary is from 4-6 lakhs per annum. Every year 70% of the students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee that is charged for the 4-year degree of Bachelors of Technology is 97000 INR per annum. There is a hostel facility for college and the hostel fee would charge approximately 90000 INR per annum including transport facility. The additional bus fee for day scholar would be 27000 INR for all-around Hyderabad city. There are additional fees for uniform, library, examination fee, etc. The scholarship is provided by the government, hence the students can apply for fee reimbursement through the college. The college provided paid internships and campus recruitment training which is given in the college itself. There is an on-campus placement drive in the college every year and a lot of students get placed on the campus itself. Many renowned companies visit the college to recruit students every year.

Campus Life

5

Well, Sreenidhi is the only college in Hyderabad that has fests going on all around the year. Three fests occur every year with a span of seven days for each fest. there is a technical fest, cultural fest an annual fest. There are a wide variety of activities that occur during the fest ranging from quiz competitions, paper presentations, etc to games and many more. There is a separate student community that organizes these fests and the college doesn't interfere infest. The college has 70+ clubs which include the IEEE club, robotics club, electronics club, art club, etc. There are a wide variety of opportunities for the students to showcase their talent. The classrooms are spacious and laboratories are well equipped with all the amenities. There are ground for various sports activities like a basketball court, football court, cricket ground, etc.
