AUCET, rank 16, Did not opt, but got admission here during counseling. So no option unless I choose another course other thank Biotechnology. In addition, AU and this university are the only two colleges that offer master's in biotech at that my time. No other local university offers the course at that time.

At that time, the course curriculum was descent if not to mention as bad. Basically it is the AU that decides that curriculum so nothing much to do with GITAM. But compared to the curriculum of any other central university, it is miles away from the quality of the curriculum.

No. During our time there was no internship and the our course never offered one. But am sure that it would have helped better for shaping the student before you are thrown into the "actual competitive world".

For our course, there are no options for placements. No company ever visited. It could be because it biotechnology course. Job opportunities were way less during that time and thus no placements or any thing in a company.

I got two scholarships (Indian council of medical research; Department of biotechnology) after my master from this college. Both of them were to purse a PhD programme in biotechnology. I dont know any thing about the loans though.

Was never part of any debates and other stuff. The gender ratio is almost the same and I think the gender shouldn't matter if some university has an intake based on the scoring in a competitive exam. There were options for sports if some one wants to have fun.

I haven't been aware of any alumni net work. I wish the college develops one strong net work that would greatly help the students. But i am sure, the engineering pals must have one good network.

It used to be hectic some days because of the labs . It was equally fun to hang around with your mates and having a good time in the canteen. The fun in labs and in the class rooms convert a hectic day into a cool one.

As per the curriculum that was maintained during 2005, it would the faculty was descent. There are hard working faculty who tried to give their best to the students. But as I as it was relatively naive during that time, it was a tough call on the syllabus for both the faculty and the students.
