Remarks

Management is poor and it takes lot of time to get documents signed at college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is 60% mechanical 40% electronics with programming languages like C and matlab , CNC programming . It is quite old according to industry standards but it can be good enough for gate if you opt for mechanical electives in final year. It is definitely not research driven, it' s role is average .

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is great for tool engineering branch at DITE and terrible for mechatronics, avg placement is 2-3 lpa for mechatronics while tool engineering students can get as high as 10 LPA

College Events

We have technical festival called ennogy at DITE, which is 2 day technical and gaming fest at campus -2 ,and a university wide cultural festival in February for 3 days called anoogunj. Dite doesn't have its own sports week. There is one at GGSIPU main campus where students can participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For first year program fee was 60,000 with 55,000 college fees and 5,000 security money. Later they raised it to 57,000 and it was 57,000 till fourth year because they raised fees in final year. So in total my fees was 2,38,000 for 4 years. There was no additional charges for admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is economic weaker section scholarship provided by delhi government to IPU students, in which they can get there tution fees reimbursed. I didn't opt for any scholarship.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio is like 1:14, it is not good for extra curricular activities, you only get chance to participate in extra curricular activities during two days tech fest . Freshers party and farewell depends on students efforts sometimes they host it otherwise not, labs are terrible and infrastructure is really bad.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful in knowing about companies they work at and in general guidance apart from that i haven't had much interaction with them.

Admission

I got admission through guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University common entrance test, i got 20702 rank in CET and got DITE mechatronics branch during sliding round of counselling , which is 4th round of counselling before spot round.

Faculty

3.5

Major faculties are guest faculties for specialisation subjects. Permanent faculties some are good and some are bad, faculties lack practical knowledge nd they don't have in depth knowledge of subject. If you are looking for good faculties you should try to look gor there citation numbers.

Placement Experience:

The placements at Kirori Mal College are respectable and are getting better. The fifth semester is typically when students become eligible for campus placements. Numerous well known bussineses like Deloitte, KPMG, EY et. Approximately 50-60% of students are placed through campus drives each year. The average package is approxiamtely 5-7 lakhs per year. After getting the degree I plan on applying for a masters degree in the same field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

The course is good but placement is very bad in the campus. The frequency of exams is 2 hours or 3 hours depends on the credit of that subject. The exam level is of moderate level. We had pass the exam studying 1 week before the exam.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility is 5th semester onwards you can get campus placement. Deloitte, TATA, nestle, other big MNC's Highest is around 20 lacs and average is around 5 lacs. 60-70 % students get places but it can be higher or lesser depending upon the crowd of students , their talents. I think I would choose a professional course like civil servant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

as been from the science background I have deep interest in maths already, and I want to continue my passion for it. The proves the critical thinking the imaginary parts and the applications of mathematics. We see every day it motivates to think about these theorems. The curriculum of course is very good, but due to NEP, we have to study subjects like Hindi in our AEC which is very irrelevant to the curriculum and waste our four hours weekly in mathematics, we mainly deal in proof and theorem. There are very less real word applications that are being taught here. There are various areas for improvement like we can adapt the course or the curriculum.in universities like IITs,Cambridge Oxford and other big universities so that the placement and internship percentage can get improved in our college
