Remarks
This college offers the subject matter I wished to study I.e., political science and its system is such that merit students can avail the seats without any entrance test as such. The system of study here is much more appreciable as there is less number of students providing easy access to teachers heed. This University/college was introduced to me through the net on google through which the university brochure was downloaded and it made me belief firmly that this university will take me without any Hassel provided I pass the necessary merit standard. The admission was done once the university accepted my merit status and fees were paid in cash avoiding all the Hassel of bank payment as such. This university is much more approachable as the faculty itself are very polite always at the students service and call.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose political science as it is in my interest of study and passion. In every class period of one hour there is one lecture and 12 students as of in my own class and department of political science. The faculty are highly qualified from excellent universities from India. Their teaching methods are variant of one another but the basic is that all the faculty member will make sure we understand the topic that is in discussion and bringing daily examples and news to cope with our understanding. The term exams are held in due time . For masters we have three internals, two written test and one assignment. Added with the end semester exam. They are tough to pass if we don't, study thoroughly and easy, to pass when we refer and study well the notes and materials the faculty provides us with.
Internships Opportunities
There are numerous companies that is provided for students by the university under the scheme or app called the Internshala app where students can apply for jobs with various stipend. These jobs are not just for one area or field rather it's varied and abundant. Eg content writing, human resource, management, telecom, etc.
Placement Experience
So far the number of campus placements are yet unknown as for humanities department but the INTERSHALA scheme/app provides every student to apply for jobs and short term work opportunity with the qualifications as per needed. My plans after getting my degree is to aim for higher course eg: PhD.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for masters of political science is 25000 per semester including exam fees. This is for non local students like me but fee is different for locals, a little lesser amount than that of what non local would have to pay. The university gives us the freedom to apply for scholarships from our own mainland I.e., for me residing in Nagaland, I apply for the umbrella scheme scholarship.
Campus Life
There is one annual fest in the college I.e., the annual college week which includes sports, arts, drama etc. The classrooms have projectors and greenboards as well as the freedom to bring laptops for group projects and discussions. The college is more so focused on the studies and there is less co curricular activities of sports but during the college week every kind of game is available for the students to play and refresh their minds. The NSS Is one such club that is run by the students and headed by the faculty member.
