Remarks

I personally this university because it is very much affordable for me and I like the campus environment as well. It is a government university and has much more value than any other private institutions. They provide you with the best environment to learn and explore your college life. It has all the necessary amenities which you need during your college life. Also, the seniors are very cooperative and provide you with the best help they could do for you. Most teachers are well educated and open-minded and allow you to learn, explore, and enhance your skills. This university has a big Workshop area where you could do experiment and modelling.

Course Curriculum Overview

All faculty members are very supportive and educated as well. One faculty is for 40 students which make the classroom environment energetic and knowledgeable. All faculty members are minimum Masters Degree holder or PhD holder. In university 70% attendance is compulsory and if you are regular attend your classroom lectures then you could easily pass the exam and internals as well.

Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience

There is no placement for Architecture Students. But they placements for other branches and many top-rated companies use to visit these universities for hiring, especially for Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc. This university has a good reputation for hiring. They manage to get placement between 5.0 Lac per annum to 6.5 Lac per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Bachelor of Architecture fee structure is 75,000 per annum which is affordable for a student. Also, they provide scholarship to the SC/ ST/ OBC candidate as well and reduce around 10% of the fee structure. University also helps them to avail Education Loan from government banks at a very low-interest rate as they have tie-ups with banks.

Campus Life

There are so many fests which this university organizes and takes part in others as well. A fest like NASA [National Association Student of Architecture], NIDM Workshops, Bamboo Workshops, various types of Sports fest at the State level.

Reality Of DCRUST

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to decide this course as it is a profit course with some creative thinking going on. The curriculum of the college does not prepare at all for the real world applications or further academic pursuits. The curriculum doesn't include what is latest in technology. For example we have few elective subject which we are not allowed to choose as the college does not have the faculty for those subjects and neither do they try to get the faculty for these subjects and say that you cannot choose this subject. The areas of improvement in course curriculum are a lot. The students teach better than teachers via their presentations. The teacher just sits idol in classes and give students a topic to give presentation and teach other kids. The exams are conducted semester wise which are not at all difficult. One just needs to go through previous year papers and he will pass with good marks. The internal marks are given by teachers on the basis of how much a teacher likes a student. the work you do does not matter at all for them.

On 23rd January, students of School of Architecture and Planning (SoAP) conducted their third SoAP day wherein the students of all three years (2014-2016 batch) exhibited their work. The event was inaugurated by our Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. D.K. Jha Sir. Deans, faculty members and students from all the Schools of the University attended the event. A soap carving competition was also organized for the students where in Dheeraj and Ishan of 2nd Year won the first and second prize respectively. The event was a great success and everyone appreciated and encouraged the students for their commendable work.
