Remarks
On 23rd January, students of School of Architecture and Planning (SoAP) conducted their third SoAP day wherein the students of all three years (2014-2016 batch) exhibited their work. The event was inaugurated by our Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. D.K. Jha Sir. Deans, faculty members and students from all the Schools of the University attended the event. A soap carving competition was also organized for the students where in Dheeraj and Ishan of 2nd Year won the first and second prize respectively. The event was a great success and everyone appreciated and encouraged the students for their commendable work.

i had physics, chemistry and maths as my main subjects in 12th. i got in through merit basis. its an amazing course with wide facilities that the college provides.
College Events
The students of School of Architecture and Planning G D Goenka University visited Sri Lanka for a week on a study trip during February 2017. Undoubtedly, the country is most appropriately named as the Paradise Island! The students had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of sightseeing of cultural and natural landscapes of Sri Lanka. They visited monuments of national and international significance and most importantly Architectural Marvels of the internationally acclaimed architect Geoffrey Bawa. Number 11, his residence, Lunuganga estate, The Chapter House, The Parliament, The Gangaram Temple, The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall and resorts like Avani Bentota, Jetwing Light house, The Gallery Café, the SOS Village and his brother Bavis Bawa’s famous house and Garden “The Brief”. Bawa’s predominant presence and his love for indigenous material and nature, and his exquisite taste and love for art and sculpture, and his design philosophy resonated in every nook and corner of Sri Lanka.
Faculty
HKS is a global firm which has top health care designers/researchers/architects in the country. On 15th September, Mr Sumandeep (an architect from HKS) was invited to orient our B.Arch Third year students on health care design guidelines and kicked off their design project "Cardiac".
