Entrance Preview

Karnataka CET ranking was around 9000. Even they consider the COMED- K Ranking. There is nothing like interview process selection will be through counselling .

Internships Opportunities

No internship, even the placements are worst. For my batch out of 400 students only 10 got placed. We had horrible placement head who was clueless what he was trying to do. I hope the placement has improved at this point of time.

College Events

The only thing we enjoyed in this college is the Cultural Event "Samskruthi" This event is exclusively for East point students, no outside participants. Platform created to provide an opportunity to the students of various colleges of East Point Group to share their feelings, exchange ideas & thoughts and gather together to have some fun.

Fees and Financial Aid

You get any kind of scholarship, but if you from backward class the college will provide help in availing the scholarship through Govt of India program.

Exam Structure

Pathetic Lab equipment and you must be thank full to the lab assistant. Exam pattern simple 25 marks for the internal assessment and 100 marks external. Maintain the internal score of 15 which is very important or else you will repent for the same All the lab exams are for 50 marks.

Faculty

The Teachers that are employed here are the worst teachers and they are very strict. You may lose your chances to write your exams just because you did not submit an assignment. Out of 25 faculty you may find only 5 faculty who are well qualified, the rest of them just come and teach the same what you can learn from your own through text books.

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

All about East Point from my point of view

I was selected for CMRIT and TJohn college of engineering for same course but finally decided to choose east point due to its reputation accross banglore, Since I'm excellent performer in academics i haven't faced rejection but this college is my personal choice. Management quota requires you to be a 12th passed out, and there is no specific university entrance exam but there is state university entrance exam which is CET through which you get a great fees redemption it's almost quater price of management quota and I'm a CET entry....Read More
