Highly recommended college for MBA in Gujarat

Faculty of Management Studies, MSU Baroda is a really reputed name. The quality of education here is really good. The admission process is through the ACPC website. Once the CMAT Scores are declared, ACPC starts with the admission process. This year things got delayed due to the Covid situation but ideally, the college begins by the end of July or the beginning of August. Although the teaching has been online, I have enjoyed learning and experiencing a unique MBA life.

The course curriculum is diverse. In the first year, there are general management subjects like Managerial Economics, Cost & Financial Accounting, Management Concepts & Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Finance, etc. The second-year has courses as per the chosen specialization. There are 4 specializations offered year - Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations. The faculty here are widely experienced, some with even 30+ years of experience. They have good knowledge, both practical and theoretical.

Few companies like ICICI, TCS, HDFC, Reliance Industries, etc., come regularly for placements, and from an ROI point of view placements here are really good. Average placements are anywhere between 4 to 5 lakhs p.a.

The fees for the course if approximately Rs. 80,000 for self-financed students and it is much lesser for those who have got it through government seats. The fees of the course are affordable and a student can take a loan in case required.

Currently, due to Covid, the campus is closed. There are various annual fests like Yuvantas. Also, many seminars are conducted. Currently, we are having many webinars conducted on various topics ranging from technical ones like compensation structures to career and personal branding. The library is still open, so local students have access to the books, and there is almost any book that one would want to be related to management and other topics in the library. There is a student-run Management Students' Forum which has various committees like the Media Team, Placement Committee, Cultural Team, etc.
