Remarks
The best part about the college is it is a student-driven campus. Apart from academics, all the major activities are run by the students themselves. There are Ventures run by the students themselves which give practical managing experiences to the student managers. The faculty is also nice, helpful and always available for the students. Preparations for final placements are really good with Aptitude tests and MCKVV. The admission process was very smooth which was held between the 2nd and 3rd week of February. The admission process included GD followed by PI. ROI of this college is really good as the fees is less comparing to colleges at the same level. Also, the in campus part was another reason for choosing it. I used the IMT Nagpur website itself.
Course Curriculum Overview
PGDM Core is a course which helps you study all the aspects of management in the first year and then choose the specialisation of your interests. There are a number of faculties for the entire batch of students. The number of faculties is spread across all the Specialisations. There is one faculty head for each specialisation and more than 2-3 more faculties working all in each specialisation. Faculties are well-qualified PHD holders in their particular specialisations. Teaching reviews for most of the faculty is an inducive class environment. They teach using cases like in any other top B school. Harvard style of learning is preferred. 3 terms are there in each year and there are MT and ET for each term. So the exams were regular throughout the year. Passing depended on the kind of learnings you took in the classes.
Internships Opportunities
Crisil, Jio Creative Labs, PayU, RR Kabels, are some companies that offer an internship with Stipends. Projects range in all kinds of domains of Social Media, Digital Marketing, Market and Equity research etc.
Placement Experience
Students begin preparing for Placements in the 4th sem and by the end of the 4th sem, the placement season begins. Delloite, Neilsen, Bain and Company, Goldman Sachs, Xiaomi are some companies visiting the college for placements. The highest package ranges between 16-18 lacs and the average package is around 8 lacs. Profiles of all kind in all specialisations are offered to the students. Placements are almost 100% every year. Accepting the Job offered and doing well for the company and myself.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are actually lesser than many other B schools in the same category. Thus the ROI is also good. There is a general hike in fees but due to Covid they kept it the same as last year and helped with reimbursements as well. Scholarships are a part of the program. Scholarships are available before joining if you fall under the categories and also during the course if you have that standout performance.
Campus Life
Campus life is very happening at IMT Nagpur. There is always some or the other event or activity that is happening in the college. The Annual Festival is M35 organised by the Milestone Committee of the college which takes place in November. There are 7 Core committees that are organising something or the else throughout the year. Books and Journals are easily available and accessible at the LRC that is the Learning Resource Center. Classrooms are modern and well equipped with everything required in a classroom. The Sports Committee of the college regularly organises sports events throughout the year. The campus has all the faculties of sports including Lawn Tennis court, Basketball Court, Badminton Court, an open field for outdoor sports. Ranbhoomi is the main event of the year in sports.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are equipped with an individual bed, study table and Almirah. There are both double sharing and single rooms in the hostels. Standard rooms, well lit and made. Rooms are spacious. Meal Quality is way better as heard of a college mess. The menu is ranging into every type of food. We are provided with 4 meals a day. There are also Galla Dinners and collaborations with other Pizza Hut and Dominoz on some occasions. Hostel cost is all included in the fees. The campus is 35 Kms away from the city.
Interview Experience
Yes, there were 2 rounds. Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview. GD topics were relevant environment-related topics and also current affairs. Interview Questions included everything related to your CV to start with and then your specialisation in graduation, GK and your interests. The best way to prepare yourself well for an interview is to know yourself and your CV thoroughly. Reading books is important. And reading everyday affairs is most important to have a good GK.
