Entrance Preview

KCET around a rank of 10000 and opted as this is the best available at that time. So EPCET was the best option for E&C.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was based out of Visveswaraya Technological University aso the syllabus was new for the year we started in 2002. Overall very good syllabus, Also had good faculty. There were few changes every year but faculty was good, Overall a very good experience.

Internships Opportunities

No I am at least not aware of any internship at that time so no general stipend as well in that case.

Placement Experience

Placements are ok as it was new at that time we had very few but must have improved by now. Was good overall.used to send to other colleges. Good.

Faculty

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

All about East Point from my point of view

I was selected for CMRIT and TJohn college of engineering for same course but finally decided to choose east point due to its reputation accross banglore, Since I'm excellent performer in academics i haven't faced rejection but this college is my personal choice. Management quota requires you to be a 12th passed out, and there is no specific university entrance exam but there is state university entrance exam which is CET through which you get a great fees redemption it's almost quater price of management quota and I'm a CET entry....Read More
