MDI Murshidabad is the sister concern of MDI Gurgaon, so it holds its brand name right in place. The college offers a rigorous curriculum and state of the art infrastructure which gives a great learning experience. There is some disadvantage with respect to the location but overall the ambience is very nice. The faculty consists of both in house and guest faculty who have years of experience in teaching and sufficient industry exposure. The admission process for me began in the month of February last year, it was a one day process that included the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds, and was conducted smoothly by the college authorities in my city. The reasonable fee structure makes the ROI attractive and made me choose this Institute over others. I read a lot of reviews on Quora at the time of selecting this Institute.

The faculty base is very strong in this Institute, most of them have PhDs in their respective areas of expertise and years of teaching experience as well as industry exposure. The teaching method and course curriculum are very much comprehensive and designed in a planned manner. Each term has two exams, Midterm and End Term. The Midterm exams are conducted in the middle of the duration of the Term, and the End Term Exams are conducted by the end of the term. Apart from this, the faculties assign different weights to other aspects like Quizzes, Assignments, Presentations and Class Participation.

The placement committee has provided internship opportunities to all students across various domains like Digital Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Human Resources. The stipend offered ranges from nil to Rs 40,000 per month. The companies which came are Fyndhere, RRB Advisors, Caspr, Airtel, JLL, GKB Opticals etc.

Campus placements start from the start of the 5th trimester. The placement committee works towards ensuring 100% placements for every batch. The companies which come are both startups and established ones like Airtel, PWC, Talent Recruit, Rento Mojo etc. The highest package offered is Rs 15 LPA and the average stands at Rs 10.5 LPA. Many students have also opted out of the process and have found jobs from outside on their own. It all depends on the profile of the candidate, how well they can build it along the duration of the course.

The fees are very reasonable and affordable when compared to other colleges of the same tier. Rs 11,50,000 is divided into various fields such as course fees, study material, student welfare activities, boarding and lodging, security deposit etc. Boarding and lodging are very good, single occupancy rooms and good and healthy food makes it worthwhile. To avail Education loan, the institute has tied up with the SBI Scholar Loan Scheme from which one can get an Educational loan of the required amount very easily.

Although the batch to which I belong has not been to the campus yet, this review of on-campus life will be entirely based on experiences shared by seniors. The campus life is amazing, there is a lot of open space for refreshment and sports. There are several student-driven clubs and committees like the Placement committee, Sports committee, PR Media Committee, Finance club, Marketing club, Operations club, HR Club etc.

Separate hostel facility for girls and boys with single occupancy rooms, rooms are furnished with bed, study table and chair, cupboard and also has a balcony. Each floor also has a semi-automatic washing machine. The menu of the mess facility has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals and includes healthy options along with the regular ones. Apart from breakfast, lunch and dinner, the mess also provides evening snacks and beverages.

For the selection process, we had Group Discussion and Personal Interview. In a group discussion, various topics of current importance were given by different panellists. In personal interview questions started with an introduction, why MBA, my interests and hobbies and ranged to questions from my educational background. I prepared for these rounds through my coaching centre and various online platforms and resources available on the internet.
