My college experience

Faculty of Management Studies is one of the best colleges in terms of ROI. To get admission to the college you can give CMAT or GUJCET. For CMAT, the safe score is 90 percentile. The college provides admission in two different categories. One is GIA, which has low fees, and the other one SFI. Being in any category does not affect your placements. If one gets a good rank, one can apply for GIA. For admission, You will have to apply through the ACPC process. During this process, You will find GIA and SFI in the list of institutes.

The faculties are very good. A few faculty members are permanent and Few are visiting. The visiting faculties are industry experts from different domains like production, operation, and management, marketing, consulting, organizational development, finance, etc. Faculty is able to fetch the best in class training with research-based projects, challenging the comfort zone of students, making them industry-ready. Few faculties belong to different organizations like ONGC, L & T, GSFC, BSNL, etc. The curriculum satisfies the current need for managerial training.

The Internships are offered by many companies like ICICI, Vipgyor, Vardhan Consulting Engineers, Odyssey, and many other companies. The faculty has visitors for summer internship programs also, where students get the stipend of 10000-15000/month.

The average placements of FMS, Baroda is around 4.5-5 lacs. The highest placements offered by the faculty was 10.2 lacs. For different specializations, it varies. For finance, it is 5.35 lacs. For Operations, it is 5.44 lacs. For Marketing, it is 5.69. And for HR, it is 4 lacs. Their various organizations visit the faculty and offer good placements like HDFC, ICICI, TCS, Zydex, Federal Bank, Reliance, Kotak, Aditya Birla, etc.

The fees are very affordable. For SFI it is a bit higher than regular students. Still, the total cost does not go beyond 85,000. For GIA, the fee does not go beyond 40,000. Scholarships and Tuition fees waiver is available.

The faculty has annual fests of Yuvantas and Reminisce. Yuvantas is a cultural fest Whereas Reminisce is an alumni meetup. The faculty has 4 different clubs, run by the students, Names as Synergy, Markup, Fiscalspark, and OPtimum. These clubs organize the quizzes and hold group discussions. There is a committee of the students named, Management Students' Forum, Which conveys the webinars, cultural events, annual fest, Sports, etc. The faculty has a dedicated placement and communication cell, consisting of students and faculty coordinators. The infrastructure is less than the average MBA college.
