My college experience

It is one of the best colleges for Civil Engineering. The professors are very helpful and understanding. Also, it is on the outskirts of Pune, so lesser distractions. It is close to the hospital SKNMC&GH so health care is not an issue. The hostel staff is good. The college is very close to Mumbai- Banglore highway so connectivity is not an issue either.

I chose the course out of interest. The faculty-student ratio is pretty good. The faculties mostly have completed the M.tech. some faculties have also completed their PHD. The head of the department has completed his PhD and has written various books under in Nirali publication and also under edutech publication the faculty is very coordinating and also so the term exams are held twice in a semester and there quite tough to pass but the scoring is difficult.

Yes, the college campus provides internships to the students. As my field is civil engineering I interned under various prominent builders in Pune such as Paranjape. Do the internship was unpaid I learnt a lot in the internship. They provide summer placements as well as winter placements to students and the attendance is managed by the college if you are interning and unable to attend the college. I was given a project to check the bars inserted in the reinforcement and to see if their diameters were correctly placed.

The students are eligible for campus placement since the second semester of the third year. Various companies like Accenture and Infosys as well as other big companies such as Byju's Amazon et cetera visit dduc college for the placement drive. The placement drive is centralised that is all the students arrive at the main campus at vadgaon to appear for the interviews. The highest package this year in our college was 12 lakh per annum and the average package is 4 to 6 lakh per annum along with incentives. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed every year. My plans after getting the degree are for the studies.

The fees for the general category is about 85000 and the fees for category wise it varies but it's CE between 1500 to 10000. They also provide EWS/EBC which means that the sections coming from the financial weaker background are provided help in the form of scholarship. The students are also given stipend based or unpaid internships throughout the 8 semesters of college. The FYI hasn't been height since the past four years that is since 2017. They provide scholarships like Punjab Rao Deshmukh for people belonging to weaker sections of the society and they receive money for residential purposes. Also, receive Rajashri Shahu Maharaj scholarship which provides them financial assistance for their studies. Scheduled caste students are provided with scholarship as well as freeship depending upon their income. Punjabrao Deshmukh is also given on the basis of agricultural land owned by the parents or caregivers of the student. A placement drive is conducted every year for various companies.

Sinhagad karandak along with the technical fest that is tectonic is carried out in the month of February. Almost all the books related to the subjects of engineering as well as non-technical books are available at the library various journals also are available as well classrooms are equipped with online teaching that is projectors are used in order to help students understand a concept better. Sports like football cricket basketball badminton et cetera are played at the campus. Various extracurricular activities like NSS NCC as well as social-cultural groups like mukampost Pune which is a theatre group as well as a poetry Slam is conducted every year. A magazine named juvenilia is published every year. A newsletter is also published yearly. The fashion show club is also active in the college. There is a student council in the college the members are chosen through the election and they manage various activities in the college. Republic day independence day, as well as Shiv Jayanti, is celebrated.

Housekeeping is done every day. There is a washroom a bathroom as well as a basin inside the room. We are provided with constant maintenance of electric appliances such as fans or light we are provided with cupboards. There are races to keep our stuff. The rooms are spacious and clean. The Mess provides food twice a day that is in the afternoon and in the evening the food is is fine. The registration process includes filling a form as well as paying the fees that are a minimum amount of 5000 rupees in order to confirm your admission. In case of affordability, it is slightly expensive but every penny is worth it because they provide you good service. I have stayed at the hostel for the last four years this is my fourth year and I am satisfied with the hostel as well as the mess. There is a 24 by 7 supply of water and hot water is available throughout the day due to solar panels no matter what the season is.
