Remarks

BHU, as the name says. One does not need to think a lot to decide whether he/she wants to get admitted here or not. One is going to get knowledge from all four sides here. Apart from academics, he/she will develop himself/herself in sports, culture and communication etc. This place will make one understand society and the world. The admission process here is quite simple. Submit the application form on https://www.bhuonline.in/ (most probably February-March), appear in the entrance exam, score as much as possible, if you are selected in the merit list, you'll get an email (the call letter) regarding the counselling and after that, you're in.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is very vast. It covers a total of 37 papers in 6 semesters, 6 papers in each of them and 1 viva in the last semester. Faculties here are well qualified, knowledgeable and experienced. They're helpful. But there're some research scholars who are novice and inexperienced. According to my, they use a normal teaching method, actually, it depends upon the professors. The student to faculty ratio is approx. 50:1. I don't think so there's industry exposure here. Overall, the course curriculum is useful and one can complete his/her graduation in a perfect place. I had chosen commerce in my higher secondary studies which brought me here to choose BHU as the best place for graduation. Exams, here, are conducted on time, in November-December and in May-June (it might be affected now due to the Covid-19 pandemic.) If someone studies normally, but effectively even without taking very pressure, he/she can easily pass the exam. And yes, don't ever think of cheating in the exam.

Placement Experience

3.5

Simply, I can say that there's a normal type of placement here. I'm not pretty sure because I focused on higher studies. It depends upon the company but overall more than 20% of students are normally get placed. The highest salary offered is approx. Rs 400k, lowest Rs 200k and maybe average Rs300k, Companies like Altavista, HDFC ERGO, IFFCO, JARO, FEDCO, TATA, Digicall, Cashpor, Utkarsh Bank, ICICI Bank and Dell etc. have visited the campus. Since I was never interested in private jobs, I didn't check which roles are offered to the students or what percentage of students get an internship from the college. A final year student becomes eligible for the campus placement. Here, the training and placement cell is mainly for the MBA candidates, apart from them M. Com. and B. Com. students also participate in the placement. The MBA candidates get the higher package.

Fees and Financial Aid

If someone says, getting an education is very expensive nowadays, prove himself wrong by getting admitted here. At the time of admission Rs 3,000 has to be paid which includes Rs 500 caution money which will be refunded at the end of the course, and subsequently, Rs 1800 in odd and Rs 400 in even semesters has to pay which makes the rough figure of the whole course Rs 2400 a year. All the figures are approximate. Not all, but out of 230 around 50 (boys+girls) get hostel. The net hostel fees is around 300-400 a month, fees is collected for the whole semester at once. There's two mess in the hostel which will cost approximately Rs 3,000 a month, it's up to you which mess you choose. You can also switch between them. If you do not get the hostel, you'll have to manage lodging and fooding yourself. You'll find them easily, thousands of students live all around BHU. The residence of Uttar Pradesh can apply for scholarship in govt. website and he/she will get the total amount of fees as the scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

The infrastructure here in BHU is simply very fine. When we talk about the university campus, roads and environment etc. are very fine. And when we talk about the Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, medical facilities, sports and games etc., it'll be just more than what you expect. The campus is completely Wi-Fi zoned, but one can browse only after showing his/her identity. Classrooms are clean and large in size. There's a separate library in the Faculty of Commerce and a central library in which everyone can visit and study. There are varieties of books here. There's a cyber library too. There's a Health Center which is especially for BHU students and free of cost. You just need to get a health card. There's a famous hospital, Sir Sundarlal Aspatal. One can find a canteen everywhere on the campus. There's a sports and games facility also, competition for each of the games are organised every year. An annual fest Spandan is conducted here in February-March which is common for the whole university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is good but i belive there should be more flexibility and more diverse topics should be taught as i mentioned earlier there should be something related to drama and skit and acting as it enriches the creative side of the students and also it is very necessary for a management student to have a creative skills too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core circular is moderately relevant but lens more forward theory than the practical application code, subject cover, fundamental concept and providing a base, but there is limited focus on industrial skill project work, coding or case studies which affect real world redness. Elective options are few restricting subject choice. The labour is mostly fake and really updated making it less aligned with the current industry. Trends exams are conducted twice a year medicine and M with internal contributing about 30% of the mark the frequency naval but timing of clashes with the critical session level is moderate theory tends to focus on road learning rather than the critical thinking. Overall the circular needs to more practical exposure, updated content and flexibility to prepare student for employment or higher studies.

There are total 6 semester in my course. The students become eligible for the course from the 4th semester onwards. The placements are not good in the college. It's very average. The highest package of the college is 4 lakh per annum. The average package of the college is nearly about 2.5 Lakh per annum. The lowest package of the college is 1.8 lakh per annnum. Nearly about 50% of the students got placement from the college. After getting the degree, my plan is to pursue the higher studies and do government exams preparation.

Admission:

The admissions are purely based on merit. The eligibility criteria is a student must have passed INTERMEDIATE WITH 40% FOR GENERAL AND OBC, SC/ST -33% MARKS. There is no Interview and the total number of seats intake are 80. The admission process is quite straightforward and lucid. I chose B.com because it provides a broad scope of employment options and job scope for graduates as a large number of B.Com graduates choose to pursue self-employment or land lucrative salary packages in prestigious companies.

Starting off with the negative effects of attending college. Tuition has skyrocketed over the years leaving college students thousands of dollars in debt right out of high school, since many people cannot afford to fully pay their schooling off. Going in that much debt is a huge benefactor of people attending college because many people just cannot afford it.
