Remarks

I chose the college because it is a quite reputed college in North India and also among the top 50 medical colleges of India. The admission process is quite simple, you just have to fill the form at the Neet counselling site and according to your NEET rank, you will be allowed colleges among your preferred list of colleges. I preferred the college because I heard a lot about this college from my good wishes that it is a good medical college in Odisha.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose the course because I was very passionate about this field and the course. The efforts done by a doctor to cure their patients and to save their life is what appeals me a lot. The student faculties ratio at Kim's varies from 10:1 to 15:1 depending on various departments. The faculties are highly qualified and full of knowledge and clinical skills. Almost all teachers use PowerPoint presentation to make their students learn. Some also use the traditional blackboard method of teaching.

Internships Opportunities

4

Yes, we have a facility of rotatory internship in which we the medical graduates have to do an internship in various departments of the medical field to learn clinical skills and to boost our knowledge. One can do an internship from the same college from where he graduated or from a different medical college but the one thing which is different is that the graduates will not get a stipend when they do an internship from other medical colleges. My college provides a stipend of around Rs 25000 per month.

Placement Experience

4

There is nothing called placements in the medical field. We the medical graduates get direct jobs from medical colleges and hospitals across the country depending on the skills and experiences we have. The students graduating from the college gets a salary of around Rs 70000 to RS 100000 per month depending on the state of their practice. Almost all the students graduating from Kims get a job in medical colleges and hospitals across the nation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual college academic fee is Rs 1200000 and the hostel charge for a double bedded ac room is Rs 110000 and the mess charge is Rs 35000 per annum. There is no hike policy of fee in kims that is you have to pay the same fee during the whole MBBS course. Also, the college takes Rs 1000 as an examination fee per year. The college provides scholarship to the top 3 academic performers of a batch.

Campus Life

4

The campus life at the college is really very good. The campus is full of greenery and plantations. The college conducts two fests. one at the college campus and other at the University stadium where celebrities come to perform. The college also organises several sports fests on campus. The library is a 3 floored building with all the essential and non-essential books and journals. All the classrooms are smart classes with projectors and multiple LCD screens.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms are double bedded rooms with an attached bathroom. There is also an air conditioner in each room and 2 wardrobes one for each occupant. Also, there are 2 reading tables and chairs one for each. The meal quality is good and mess serves both vegetarian and nonvegetarian food. The registration process for the hostel is simple you just have to opt for a hostel facility while counselling process at the college.

The course that I chose is MBBS. Every aspirants know that how nobel this profession is. We are hearing of rumors like we'll be having NExT exam so according to that a little bit change is needed like shifting ophthalmology and ENT to final year and MCQ pattern for our exam. Difficulty level of exams is moderate. You get some basic questions. Some desirable to know type of questions

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS Course which is around 5.5 yr is very difficult course as it will make you a doctor which is on of the most prestigious profession .Here you not only read theory but practical aspect is also more important. Students deal with patients in hospitals while studying clinical subjects. Here whole course is divided in 3 proff+ internship for around 6 months . 3rd proff is around again divided into 2 phase . In each year you have to appear at least 3 internal exams and one university exam which consist of both theory and practical examination. To pass the exam you have to secure atleast 40% in theory and in practical separately and 50% aggregately.Teaching method given by NMC is quite effective and difficult also.

I chose it because I wanted money and respect which this course delivers. Teacher and student ratio is ok but nowadays there is a shortage of faculties, so pg students teach us sometimes. MBBS qualified and method is slide reading only. Term exams are on time but it's difficult u know it's mbbs it's tough. Passing is not always possible.
