Though the academics are excellent if they could more emphasis to the practical aspect of the studies and if the fees structure could be made more feasible to all others and if scholarships could made possible then that would be good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum has vastly improved now with focus on cumulative studying. It is made sure that all the subjects are correlated properly so it is easier to follow such a vast course like MBBS. Extra focus is now being given to practical applications.
Placement Experience
We did our compulsory rotation internship post MBBS. And the placement drive is very good. With many students getting jobs post degree. Many have also joined the hospital itself.
College Events
The kims boasts a very colorful reputation of holding fantastic cultural and academical festival. It’s a huge event involving all the students as well as many faculties. And the star nights really exemplary with big shots gracing is like arijit Singh etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is expensive but that is in accordance to the MBBS degree fee, infact it’s slightly less in regards to its counterpart colleges providing same. Degree. The fees can be paid only through Paytm, phone pay, etc. all the breakdown of fees is maintained in the receipt so that There is no hidden fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I didn’t opt for any scholarships. But the rank holders get a good money reward. Though is no polio for applying for scholarships.
Campus Life
In regards to gender ratio the boys are more in number than girls but there isn’t a huge disparity that it’s noticeable. Dorm parties are not frowned upon if you don’t create much ruckus. There is a good student diversity with people from all over the country and even outside. As the fee structure Is high you would find most of the students from upper middle class or higher class families.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. The hostel room are clean with good quality food and good WiFi service. The rooms are cleaned daily. And any issue is taken care of with in 4-5 days. It has a curfew of 9oclock. It’s really clean but the wardens are bit strict.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni as well as the seniors are really very helpful regarding the course and doubt clearing. They have a good alumni group with meetups regululary.
Admission
When I joined we were selected on the basis of KIIT ENTRANCE EXAM. But now the procedure is through NEET UG exams. I received a all India rank of 246 in the kiitee exam and was selected in the first round counseling. The counseling program was very easy and with no hassles.
Faculty
The faculty in KIMS are one of the best in their respective fields. They are very cooperative and always ready to help in time of need. They have a vested interest in the growth of the students. With a personal knowledge about most of the students they make sure that we are following all the classes properly.
