Remarks

The college campus is very big from the inside and all the teacher are a friend. But there is no club in this college except Union body. The admission is generally done by merit list and in the month of June. If you have not scored good marks due to some reason then you can join this college because the teacher will you to score more than next time.

I have chosen BCOM because I was from a Commerce background. In this college, the faculty is too good and 60% of the student is having to help nature. The qualifications of the teacher are very good and they use smart class sometimes to teach you nicely and a lot of seminars is organised in this college.

Class Size: 349Course Fees: INR 4870 per year

Placement Experience

The placement of this college is not so good the highest placement in 2020 was 12.8 LPA and the average package was 7.2LPA. Till now there is no 100% placement rate. After completing my graduation from this college I will go for MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can complete your HS in less than 20000 and your graduation in less than 30000 but if you can make your income certificate then you can get free admission to this college. And a lot of scholarship is provided in this college.

Campus Life

You can find any latest book & journal in this college relating to your course. In the month of October the sports day is organised and it last for 15 days a lot of games was performed such as football, cricket, water drinking competition, volleyball etc. There are no clubs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

Nothing influenced my decision to choose this course. I just wanted to choose this course for fun, to be honest. the curriculum rarely prepares us for real-world applications or further academic pursuits but whenever it does it would be very beneficial for the students. Held frequent inspections in the college so that they can improve themselves and the teaching method should be in a friendly and more comprehensive way. The exam timings are perfect along with the perspective of their difficulty level.

Gauhati Commerce College : A premier Institution for Conmerce Education with Evolving Opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, nothing specific has influenced me in the decision to choose this course that is BCOM as most of these student after passing shoes, so I also opt to BCOM. Well, the curriculum does not fully prepare the students for real world applications or further academic pursuits. They does not provide any practical knowledge or any kind of internship to the students for the real world. Well, according to me, they should provide some internship or something related to practical knowledge. This improvements are very necessary. The frequency and timing of exams is very low like within four months the university tries to complete the whole semester, and it's very hard to complete the whole syllabus within just four months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bcom from Gauhati Commerce College is a great thing to be heard of if you are from Assam. As it is a renowned college and many alumni are influential and big personalities. So yes bcom is a god course. But it is not much real world based i guess. As modern day is changing rapidly but our syllabus and course haven't changed much from a decade or more. One can see it by seeing past years papers.
