Remarks

The college overall is good. Though lacks at some places but can overcome it if brings a little change in it's management. As the person at the top enjoys all the powers and does not listen to the students.

Entrance Preview

I got into this college through COMEDK. My rank was 12145. I was not sure which college i would be getting to. Then i searched on net and through careers360.com got to know about this college. At the time of counselling in Bangalore only 1 seat was left in mechanical in this college and i was lucky enough to get that.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This is an autonomous college and has it's own syllabus which changes as per the guidelines of VTU. The overall syllabus is planned thoroughly and checked for its usefulness in the ao rapidly changing times. The course objective and outcomes are printed into booklets and handed over to each student so that there remains no confusion as to what to study and where to study from.

Internships Opportunities

There is no such provision for internship provided by the college. If any student is interested then he can contact a few teachers who have a good contact with the nearby companies and can get into it. There in=s no stipend.

Placement Experience

4

Placement here has improved exponentially in the 3 years. The TPO of the college calls a good number of companies each year for the final year students. There are approx 45 companies for IT branches and 15 companies for non-IT branches. The package varies from 3,00,00/- P.A to 14,00,000/- P.A.

College Events

4.5

At the start of each year there is fresher for 1st year. Then there is fiesta a college level fest featuring dancing, singing, dramatics. There is this major national level inter-college fest each year INSIGNIA. Various workshops related to technical field are conducted. It goes on for 3 days and on the last day there is a line musical concert by a renowned singer.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very complex. There are categories:- CET quota:- Rs.45,000-Rs.50,000/- per year. COMEDK quota:- Rs.1,95,000- per year. Management quota:- Rs.1,95,000- per year. Hostel fees:- Rs.18,500-Rs.34,500/- (depending upon your room) per year Mess fees:- Rs.18,500/- per year (common for all).

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there is a provision for scholarship for those who have got admission through CET quota. I don't have much knowledge of it as I am from COMEDK quota. But a few of my friends get a scholarship of Rs.18,500-Rs.50,000 per year.

Campus Life

5

The campus life here is not so boring but at the same time not so funky as well. The security in here is hell and don't listen to the students. There is a main chief warden who himself is a prof but beats anyone whom the security blames for no reason at all. The labs are good and equipped with latest apparatus. There are several hobby clubs within the college which organise 2-3 days workshops on either robotics or c-language or PLC board circuiting, etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are 3 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel within the campus. Both are well maintained and CCTV on all floors. The rooms are spacious and come along with furnitures like bed, mattress, chair, table, cupboard. The rooms are sweeped everyday and moped 1 day a week. There are various varities of room, single attached and non attached, double attached and non attached, tripple non attached, 4 seater(general room). There is a central mess for all the students residing in the hostel. They serve morning breakfast and tea, afternoon lunch, evening tea and snacks, night dinner with milk. The food is hygenic and also the cleanliness of mess is maintained. But 1 may get bored eating the same food everyday as there is only 1 menu for a week and it repeats every week.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a alumni association in the college. It is active and recent passed out seniors are called for encouraging and guiding final year students for the upcoming placement activities. There is a strict ban on ragging and if found is seriously negotiated. But some intro is always there for the first year guys but thats only to become friends.

Exam Structure

The college has semester system and each year consists of 2 semesters. There are 3 internal exams in each sem out of which the marks of best 2 is considered for evaluation. There is 1 end sem examination which is of 100 marks and it is added to internal marks and the grade card is made.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty here is well experienced in both field work and teaching aspects. The college has a good number of Phd holders in all its branches. The faculty members are very supportive and hard working. They take care of students who are weak and are unable to score in the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have really packed timings. We also have a lot of chances. Like an exchange program, internships and many chances to act or work in actual projects. I really hope they could teach us animation in the course and it would really help if the clubs are active. For every exam we have to come up with something new totally out of the box. sometimes we also have to work overtime.

Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.
