AMU review

It is one of the best universities in the country. It ranked among the top 10 universities in the country. AMU conducts its own entrance test for all courses except for MBBS. Admission to MBBS is taken through NEET. AMU is a well-known university around the world and it has a history of producing great people's in different fields.

I choose a bachelor of science in statistics as I am very much interested in data science. I love to work on data. The faculty here is also very experienced and has good knowledge of the subject. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders in their respective subjects. In AMU exams are held twice every year as they follow the semester system. The papers here are also very hard and it requires good understanding to clear exams.

Placements here are not that much high but some people got very lucky within campus placement. From last year people can apply for placements in different companies. TCS is the mass recruiter. But after bachelors it is difficult to get placement.

Fees here are minimal as compared to other colleges in the country. It cost me Rs 9750 for 1 year and Rs 6000 for 2 years including the hostel. The mess fee is Rs 1100 per month which is quite affordable. One can apply for scholarships such as the U.P government and Central government scholarships.

Social life in AMU is just awesome. Sir syed day is held every year on 16 October and it is like a festival for the whole city. AMU's library is the biggest library in India which includes books on every topic. You can also take part in many sports activities such as basketball, football, cricket, etc.

The hostel facility here is just fantastic. You get a very good room for just 2000rs per year. The rooms here are comfortable and the quality of food is nice looking at its cost of 1100 rs per month. Once you get admission you will be allocated a hostel and it takes some time to get a room.

There was a written test as far as my course is concerned. On the bachelor of science test, you get 100 questions which you have to solve in 2 hours. It includes 25 questions from maths, 25 from physics, 25 from chemistry, and 25 from English.
