The Jorhat Engineering College is one of the best Engineering College in the northeast, it is because it consists of well educated and experienced mentors, who give their best to make student understood the topic they were studying. The college is still under development which should be boosted up for better infrastructure. The Admission process is very authentic as we have to crack the state Assam cee entrance exam after 12th as physics chemistry and maths as major subjects in which overall percentage of these subjects should be above or 50%. The Assam cee entrance exam usually held in May. I prefer this college because of its good teaching faculties and especially the overall placement of the college is best.

I choose Electrical Engineering as my major course because my interest in Electrical and electronics things is quite more than others, after passing my 12th I opt for Engineering and especially for Electrical because I like the course and Want to do something better in the field of electrical engineering. Our faculty is well educated which contains highly qualified professors. Our department consists of 60 students. Many of our faculty qualified from IIT. Our exams are conducted in semesters which consists of three sessional exams and one final end term exam. As talking about difficulty level yes its quite difficult but this doesn't mean that it's very hard to pass, everything depends upon the knowledge that we acquire in the overall six months of each semester

Our college provides internship to students in various companies like iocl , railway and much more, for better understanding and for practical knowledge which will enhance the productivity level of the students towards the technical field to the fullest.

From the 5th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Oil, Infosys and many other companies visit our campus for placements. The highest package is around 1.25 lakh per month and the average package is around 50-55 thousand per month. 30-40% of students get placed from our college.

The fee structure of our college is Rs 11000 per year. Which is affordable. Coming to scholarship yes our college is enrolled on nsp which provides scholarships to the students. This year I can't able to apply for it because of the pandemic for me it's not being possible to attend college for verification processes and all.

Our college has an annual fest i.e phoenix which held in April. And it also consists of induction programming which held every year at the beginning of the courses. Our library provides overall all books for our courses. Our college inaugurates sports week every year in which inter hostel games are played.

In my room for study purpose, a table is provided a bed and a wardrobe for storage which is very clean and good. The meal quality of our hostel is good and hygienic, in the morning we are provided by Puri, in day time rice and at night by rice too and evening we are provided by tea. The registration process for a hostel is done by our college officials.
