Remarks

One of the Top Arts and Science colleges in all of Tamil Nadu. The college has a good infrastructure and offers a wide variety of courses. The college focuses on the holistic development of the students. The admission process is conducted through online applications, once your application satisfies all the eligibility criteria for the course you have opted for, your application will be shortlisted and an email will be sent to you. And later you will be asked to attend a personal interview which is just for a formality and you will be asked to pay the fees. For courses like MCA and MBA the candidates must have taken any of the following Entrance tests Tancet, CAT, MAT, etc., The reason for me prefering this college over the others is the beauty of the campus and the peaceful environment. And it is one of the Top performing Arts&science colleges in Tamil Nadu. I didn't refer to any blogs or websites regarding the college choice, many of my friends were studying there so I asked for suggestions from them.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The reason I choose this course is, English is the only subject I scored High in my Higher Secondary Examinations and I thought of preparing for Competitive exams. So English being a lite subject it will not require much time to study and learn the subjects. There is a good ratio between the students and the faculty our English Dept has more than 30 Staff member. Almost all of them have completed PHd and also have prior teaching experience some staff were doing their PHd.Every semester will have two Internals exams and a semester exam towards the end of each semester. Passing the exam is quite easy as it is an Autonomous college.

Placement Experience

4.5

During the 4th semester, students are eligible to apply for placements. I don't remember many companies but RelianceFresh came for a campus drive when I was doing my 4th semester. A friend of mine was selected in L&T and he was offered a package of 45k per month. The college doesn't force students to attend placement interviews they pass on the information. It's entirely upto the students to make the decision of attending Interviews. I have planned to do an MBA

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are not too High actually it's quite affordable. If you are selected in the Aided Stream the fees will be within 10k per semester. And the college also offers scholarships and free meals program for financially weak students. The fee hike will be mostly due to the NIRF Rankings. I was selected as a Soft Skills Trainer in Michaels Academy for which I was offered a stiffened of 12000 but due to personal reasons, I couldn't join there.

Campus Life

4.5

Festorum is the annual fest's name and its conduct in the month of January or February. The college has a big library with a large variety of books dealing every Course stream. And the college also has an E-library for students to read e-books and journals. The classroom has a projector and a screen so Presentations can be made and videos can also be played for the better understanding of concepts by the students. The college not only concentrates on academics alone but also on various sports and extra-curricular activities. There are various clubs in the college like Youth Against Drugs Club, Road Safety club, etc.,

Placement Experience:

Our college provides placement. At first they will conduct some training programme for those students who are all interested and paid fee for placements after that based on the performance of the students in the interviews they got selected. Companies like Accenture and many others come forward. The percentage of the students getting placed is depends on good performance. I planned to look forward for some jobs by cracking some exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
